Hofner Senator Guitar - Help Please

Posted by Simon on Sun, 11/17/02 - 16:44:58.

: Hi - I'm trying to do a favour for a friend, simply find out (roughly) how much his guitar would be worth should he wish to sell it on, and when it was made. It is a semi-accoustic Hofner Senator, with mother of pearl fret inlays. The ticket inside reads:

: "Hofner No. 557 Senator SE1 Brunn. Model 5125/05"

: I'd very much appreciate it if someone could kindly help out with this enquiry. Thank you.

Re: Hofner Senator Guitar - Help Please

I have one here in Scotland, serial number 9278, and I am open to sensible offers. I can pack and ship at cost. It's in very fair condition, and indeed, I used to use it until a few years ago with a band in pubs and clubs. Just as an added touch, mine is personally autographed by Tom Paxton in black indelible felt tip marker!
