I have an Alvarez acoustic electric guitar. It is the Silver Anniversary guitar model number 2555S. Can anyone tell me the approximate value of this guitar. Also, does anyone know the specs (i.e. construction; solid top, sides, neck, how many were made). This guitar was given to me as a gift - therefore it is a treasure to me - but - I don't know anything about it and am unable to find information anywhere on the net.

I have one, too, and have been unable to find any information about its current value. I paid about $800 for it on sale more than 10 years ago. It was orginally priced about $1000.

I was a highest bidder on ebay at $310.00 including shipping. Great deal. Getting ready to sell mine, because I have too many guitars right now. Going to ask $400 including hard case. These are the specs I found on it.

Top – Laminated Spruce
Fret Inlay - Bars
Back and Sides – Mahogony
Neck - Mahogony
Fingerboard – Rosewood
Tuners – Chrome
