i would like to know some info on my friends el degas acoustic guitar…..model # is GB84…….it is a beutiful jumbo acoustic, but we have no ifo or approx value….the guitar is 27 years old……..

: I’ve recently come into posession of a 1972 El Degas MT13 accoustic — this thing is great, its been a while since I’ve heard an accoustic that sounds as good as this one does — does anyone know any info. about these guitars…I know nothing of the make nor model. I bought one in 1978 in a guitar store in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I know it was ’78 cuz I got it when I turned 18. I paid $200- bucks for it, new. It looks very similar to a Gibson J-200 (see link below) only a couple of grand cheaper.
