El degas guitar.......Model GB84

i would like to know some info on my friends el degas acoustic guitar.....model # is GB84.......it is a beutiful jumbo acoustic, but we have no ifo or approx value....the guitar is 27 years old........
please help me in my search for info...please post....

I bought one in 1978 in a guitar store in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I know it was '78 cuz I got it when I turned 18. I paid $200- bucks for it, new. It looks very similar to a Gibson J-200 (see link below) only a couple of grand cheaper.
