tokai humming bird

i have recently acquired a tokai humming bird 6 string acoustic guitar and it is thought to have been purchased around 1950-1960, but i cant be sure.
can anyone shed any light on beginning to date this guitar. if its any help the serial no. is 03129.

I'm a little confused here, you purchased a Tokai Humming Bird and it was an accoustic??? I was as sure as anything they were solid body electrics... I guess you've got the guitar so that backs you up but I checked it out in a guitar encyclopaedia and it was a solid body electric. Can you let me know what it is!!!
