: : Would like to find out a little history : and value. Help, please as can’t find : information on it ….. Serial# 80432575 : Thanks! There were 2 models, as there often are, "good" nd "better" made from 1981 to 1984. Yours is a February 12, 1982 from Kalamazoo. The MV-2 featured offset double cutaway, rosewood fingerboard, 6 on one side tuners, 2 humbuckers. antique Sunburst or Candy Apple Red. Gibson has not chosen or omitted to mention types of wood for body & neck. At the time, they were heavily into not just mahogany, but basswood and alder. The MV-10 had an ebony fingerboard and a stacked coil pickup with a coil tap switch. Candy Apple Red or Twilight Blue. I can not find any published values for these models. For tech specs call 1-800-4GIBSON or email http://www.valleyartsguitars.com. Info on pricing: Vintage Guitar Magazine or price guide, or http://www.vintageguitarpro.com. Strat man Dwight
