Slahs guitar solo

: Hello, does anybody know how i should set up my amp(distortion etc) to achieve the sound like Slash's guitar solo in November Rain. I want to play the solo like him...

After Appetite Slash switched to a JCM800 for his dirty sounds on the uyi albums. You can find his settings on tonedepot.com but you will have to buy some pedals. Like Slash I use Seymour Duncan alnico II pros. The are low output pickups. I have a solid state amp and use a MXR Wylde overdrive to get that Marshall "Brown" sound. This is the closest pedal to a JCM. I also use a GE-7 to give it a more nasally punch. Its pretty good comming from a solid state amp (Sunn Concert Lead). Unless you want to spring for a JCM800 they cost about 700-800 bones on ebay. I'm saving up for one...
