Electric Guitar Case Comparison

This is a comparison of the different types of electric guitar cases along with actual products to help you decide how to keep your axe safe and portable.
If you have the money and you want to protect your precious guitar, nothing will beat a good electric guitar hard case. Still the convenience of soft guitar cases are not to be underrated, they can provide enough protection in certain situations without the extra weight and cost.
All things being equal, it is best to have one of each, an electric guitar soft case and hard case. However if your budget is limited, you will be forced to pick one or the other. Picking one will mean that you will have to sacrifice what the other has to offer.
To make it easier for you, we have listed down the two main types of electric guitar cases, side by side, along with their pros and cons. We did not include gig bags on this list - we'll come to those at a later time.
