Actually guitar is from late 1969-1970. Although some people like their small sound, their collectibilty is low. Value would be between $30-$60 depending on condition.
: i have one too and would love to know the value. is anywhere from 50 to 90 yrs old
: Hi, i also have a no 700 suzuki guitar, I got it at an auction, and would like to know more about it, it has a certificate inside saying, suzuki violin co, ltd
: I bought this guitar at a garage sale. It sounded great which was why I bought it but I have no idea what it is worth. The label is very old looking and the lettering on it appears to be hand-lettered as opposed to type-written. It only shows the brand name as: "KisoSuzukiViolin, ltd." and the year made was 1967. The rest of the label is somewhat faded but I can make out the number 45. It also has the phrase "Copy of Antonius Stradivarus 1720" I’ve had quite a difference of opinion as the the worth of this guitar (anywhere from "its worth thousands" to "its a piece of junk"). Can anyone help me with this?
I also bought one of these guitars on e-bay sweet sound. They are worth $300-$400 in really good condion to the right buyer and not much to anyone else. The sound really good and some players love the neck. They appear to be solid back and sides but on close inspection are not, however the timbers used are realy good ‘not junk’ the real problem with this instrument is the tuners they are 32mm centred posts which are no longer available as 35mm is the standard. If you bust a tuner you need to go to singles or plung ad rebore. These guitars are of greatest value to the original owners. I have read that if you buy one it’s hard to sell if you are a player, I’d agree ith that.
These copies are original kisos I’m still researching the accuracy of the label so far checks out authentic plus gteat sounding guiyars to play as I’ve played for 35-40 years.

Hi,
Made in the 70’s & from memory when I bought mine it was a weeks pay & I was on really good money back in the 70-80’s.
Great guitar, great sound & becoming quite rare. I have been looking for a second one for the last 7 years & have not seen one forsale.
from 0 to 10 it rates from 8.7 to 9.7

Hi just came by a j200 of my own, was given to me as a gift. the thing is its too good a guitar for me to be carrying around everywhere, so i’m looking to sell it if your still interested
Hello, I was wondering if the guitar i listed in the subject column is worth anything. It’s hard to find any info on the internet about it. Please reply and thank you for your time.
Wow, an old question with no answers. Mine must be a little older than yours as it is marked 41140, but I got mine from a used shop in my hometown. I have had a few friends get it to sound like a great guitar. I am unfortunately not that good so I only Plunk it. At the time I think I paid $80.00 and that was in the late 90s.
Mine is also marked 41140 and is an AB302. I have been searching Google on this one on and off for a while now. this is the first post where I have found an AB302 noted…Does anyone have an answer yet?
Hi, My Suzuki W-5025, has a solid spruce top, solid rosewood sides and three piece back. It also has abalone inlay around the sound hole and along the front binding and between the three piece back. There is a white ivoriod binding on the peghead and the rosewood finger board. Any info would be most appreciated!

: Hi, my name’s Ramon and I have a similar w-5025 with Three S since 1980 and I bought it in Santiago, Chile.
It works every week in our church and its sound is still beautiful! I don’t know anyone else with this guitar in Chile.
Hey, I know it’s been a while but I just bought this model from a co worker, the model with the Three s’s I can’t find anything more than you two on the model search in google.

Hi Roy, It seems to me that there are a lot of us in the same boat. My `Suzy` seems very similar to yours, but has got `Three sSs` on the headstock.
Surely there must be someone somewhere who has the answers to all our questions.
best of luck…..Nick.
I’ve got a W-5025 bought second hand, has been played well by former owner, but after cleaning and setting it up is rings like a bell. Very good handling, though V – shape neck can be tiring on the hand. Very high value for the money.

: I have been looking for years for info. My wife got her W5025, idential description of Roy’s, in the late 1970’s at "HECK Music co." in Ventura,Ca. It has played very nice over the years and we continue use it almost every day. It was originally about $300. My sister-in-law also got one at the same time, but it is slightly different in appearance. These are the only ones I have ever heard of.
I just aquired a Suzuki W 5025 tonight, old and filthy; Headstock show Suzuki Three S, so it’s a pre-Martin lawsuit one. 100 euros.
I’m going to clean it up; lt has a potential soundwise. Nice MOP rings ( double ones) around the soundhole, 3 piece back ( rosewood outside, birdseye maple in the middle). Looks like a multi layer top with nice undulating spruce on top.

well from what i read , a article from a guy from japan, that it is pretty rare since they don’t make guitars any more. the w5025 sre from the 70’s i think 1977 or 1976. amd the serial no. is the price in yen. so 5024 x 100= then about 110 yen to the dollar. it came out about 4000.00 dollars that don’t seem real back in those days. i think it prbably was like 546.00 dollars back then which was still alot of money. selling my need the money but it is a beautiful playing guitar.

hi pierre do you still own this guitar I have the catalogue whith this guitar in it next to the wos260 which I own would love to see some photos if possible thanks jarrod …
do you know exacally how much a Suzuki SD 335 handmade is worth today?
I just recently aquired my grandpa’s SD 335, and would like to know how much it is possibly worth today, because it is an old guitar.
Alain, ashes? I’m not a Luthier merely a master cabinet maker. I had occasion to disassemble my sons Kiso Suzuki K 190 Sunflower to do repairs [the damage was not from poor workmanship, accidents do happen]. Solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and high quality laminate sides, if this is representative of the make I would have to question your assertation and your knowledge of woods irrespective of how long you have been playing.
suzuki w-350 or 9513 or any of the multi 3-piece back
pure hearted
I have almost lost my love the day my guitar was stolen. My father had purchased it for me to help me through some things. Every time I see that three piece back, my heart longs to see one up close again. How beautiful, how awesome, the w-350 fit my hands perfectly. Don’t know if this is what they call a banjo neck, but it was thinner than other guitars. Have seen a 12 string Suzuki, with the 3-piece maple/rosewood vs mahagony backs. I guessed at the woods, found out later I was right. Know nothing at all about woods, guitars, I just know I loved my guitar my daddy bought me as a young girl and guessed I sensed a rosewood had to be involved, a maple tree is a sign of strength (my daddy has been strong for so many and given so much, my mother has been an angel to those in need), the mahogony … just because of the old time furniture i had seen. So rich and beautiful the wood. So rich and meaningful … my dad had no idea until later what all i had gone thru … he gave me my first counselor. My Suzuki and I went through counseling together, just like before the guitar … was my Bugs Bunny with the pull string. They both remind me of my father. Good man, good quality, good guitar, from the heart!
thank you father for showing me the light in the darkness … music … once healed … i shared my healing with others … and they too were healed! No greater guitar in the world for me!!!
Have seen a 12 string Suzuki, with the 3-piece maple/rosewood vs
Midge
I have the pleasure of owning just such a 12-string. WT-200 It has aged & needs TLC but the book-ended wood on the back is beautiful, no awesome!!! Would post a pic but don’t see the option here. Tone stunning. A local band were so impressed they borrowed it for recording their CD. Previously owned by a well-known deceased local musician-Syd Kitchen. I went to pay the balance on a 6-string but he thought I wasn’t coming & sold it minutes before I got there, so asked if I would accept his 12-string.

: Cheers
I felt confused with alain words. I own a Suzuki kiso WE150 and weights much more than others. I notice fine woods on it Mahogany, Rosewood and maybe spruce in the front (after 30 years it became more brown). I have no idea about the price of my guitar but I am sure that I would not send it for less than 500 $ (It hasn’t price really 33 years with me is too much).
I agree with the sound of some yamahas but you can find yamaha sound in many otherS…AND YOU WILL NOT FIND A SUZUKI THOUGH.
: I used to love and collect many kiso suzuki guitars because everybody said it sounded as good or better than martin guitars.
: This is false, wrong, not true !!!
: It’s just legend.
: Those guitars (kiso) have fine plastic motifs but can never compete with "real" guitars !!!!
: Why ? Because table of the guitar is….ashwood !!!! I broke one and could see it…
: If you want really better sounding guitars than the suzuki with low price, go for yamaha dw8 (300-400US). It’s worth the money and sounds 10x better than the suzuki.
: The suzuki sounds not that bad at low level. Play hard and they all Bzz or sound get very confused….
: By the way all my kiso suzuki are for sale….
: How much ?
: They price 50euros (dollars) at ebay.de !!!
: Usually you can get them for 80 euros (dollars)
: That’s their real price.
: I have no doubt some guys will want to pay 300 extra bucks for those ashes guitar. I idi once. Never do it again.
: I have a W-300 at least 35 years old . Has beautiful
: inlay and plays great . Sorry to hear the only value
: it has is to me !
I definitly agree with you. A few kiso are great, some are very bad, but, unfortunately they don’t sell more than 100-150 dollars. Because it’s made of laminated woods with thin sheet of nice wood "a la trompe l’oeil)
It’s got the dream, not the drive !
Try a dw 20 yammy or… a martin (d28 / d35) and be prepared to cry….
A friend has offered to sell me his Kiso Suzuki W80. He bought it in 1974, it’s in near mint condition, the Kiso Suzuki label is signed inside (I’m not sure if that’s standard), and it has a beautiful sound. He thinks he might have paid $150-$200 for it, but I can’t find any information online about how much it’s worth now. Any suggestions?
I paid $279 for a kiso suzuki W180 3 years ago. I didnt know anything about guitars, let alone that it was 2nd hand! When I found out that it was, I was going to take it back to the retailer and ask for my money back! However, I have started to play it just over two months ago and I took it to get it cleaned up and restrung. (at a different music store!) The guy didnt want to give it back to me, saying that it is a beautiful rare guitar. he asked how much I paid for it so i told him. I asked him how much was it really worth. he just looked at me and said ‘Try putting another ‘0’ at the end of what you paid for it!’ WOW! and yeah! it sounds like a $2,000 guitar. absolutely stunning workmanship. Thank goodness that I never took it back for a refund 🙂
My comments will be aimed mainly at suzuki guitars. for me if you play guitar and own a suzuki and you wake up in the morning and play it, if it makes you smile and makes you sing, if it holds memories dear to you of the camp fire night when you sang to your your children, if these are things that your suzuki guitar reminds you of then the value should never be viewed in cash terms. i own 2 suzuki guitars an FT150 Takeharu and the other is too old to get a model number from but both (as with the rest of my 30+guitar collection) are very dear to me, an instrument in the eyes of a player is a tool for making sound it transforms vibrations and sends them to the air for all to share. now my point is this… weather this process is done on a $3000 Martin os on a $20 aria it has the same desired effect for the listener and if you are a real musician you can enjoy the work that went into any instrument even those that were banged out by machines, feel the machine. I dont think suzuki guitars are that bad at all and i will buy more of them, i live in japan and always buy at least 2 guitars a week i like old japanese guitars my favorites being Tokai and Morris (now these guys make a nice guitar) i have a 12 string morris and 2 6 strings all hand made of cause. and just for the record i got a Kono(Sakurai) classical model 15 that is worth a mint but it dont get any more attention than the rest of my guitars.. value your guitar with your heart and not with somebody’s wallet. if you dont want it may i suggest giving it to a child that cannot afford to buy a guitar but wants to play so much, the rewards are golden….trust me. bye bye
Someone gave me a Yamaha "Weddington Custom" Electric guitar, excellent condition, inlaid frets, dark mottled red in color. Can anyone out there tell me how much it might be worth? Made in Japan, Serial No. 1H29007.
Please, email me at [email protected]
Well, i could sometimes agree with you… But come on ! How can you compare a kiso suzuki, three S suzuki, or Suzuki guitar, not to talk about Johnson and Takeruh suzuki, with, what you call, "tokai" acoustic guitars ?
You live in Jpan ? Great ! I’m not going to remind you that what you call ‘tokai’ acoustic guitars (distributing firm of acoustic guitars + electric guitars builing), are in fact the CAT’S EYES hand-made guitars made with Martin Kits from 1972-1983.
I’ve played on a CE1200D, CE3000 and on a CE1000 cat’s eyes…
About Morris, I have the W100D. Exact d45 martin copy… Of course, I know the w20, w30, w60 made by morris, and we could talk a lot about them.
FOR all the dead lovers of susuki guitars here, there is only ONE worth suzuki guitar…

Can someone tell me something about a Kiso Suzuki Grand Hillbilly W-50? I find nothing on the net, but have seen a
photo (D-35 copy from the 70’s–looks gorgeous; seems to have a 3-piece, rio back and spruce top). thanks! fts
I have Suzuki no. 7 and suzuki no. 9 acoustic guitars. Just wondering what those numbers stand for and if there is any way to tell what year they are from. Also, one was strung with steel strings and the other was strung with nylon and steel strings. Just if you happen to know what the proper string arrangement should be. Thank you.

: I hve a Morris B 50 -12…..a beautiful copy of a Martin D-45 made in 1990. It has a Brazilian rosewood back and sides (the back with a maple central wedge)
It is the best sounding 12 string I have ever played…and I have been playing guitar 48 years…12’s almost exclusively since 1972.
Finishis impecable. Since 1992 the CITES international convention has blocked import of this wood.
i also have a C.F.SUZUKI W-350 DREADNOUGHT (JO335) and know nothing of their history or pricing, so any info that could be shared with me would be greatly apreciated. i had it left to me in a will about 25yrs ago and am the second owner. have played it for all those yrs and looked after it VERY well, someone please help!? contact; [email protected]

: : Well, i could sometimes agree with you… But come on ! How can you compare a kiso suzuki, three S suzuki, or Suzuki guitar, not to talk about Johnson and Takeruh suzuki, with, what you call, "tokai" acoustic guitars ?
: : You live in Jpan ? Great ! I’m not going to remind you that what you call ‘tokai’ acoustic guitars (distributing firm of acoustic guitars + electric guitars builing), are in fact the CAT’S EYES hand-made guitars made with Martin Kits from 1972-1983.
: : I’ve played on a CE1200D, CE3000 and on a CE1000 cat’s eyes…
: : About Morris, I have the W100D. Exact d45 martin copy… Of course, I know the w20, w30, w60 made by morris, and we could talk a lot about them.
: : FOR all the dead lovers of susuki guitars here, there is only ONE worth suzuki guitar…
: : It’s the three S W800 hand made, solid wood top, back and sides, grover tuners abalone and inlay everywhere… You’ll find 1 ex in Japan.
If you are still out there can you give me any info/value on the WT150 12-String Kiso Suzuki. I just got one from a pawn shop in perfect condition and am curious about the history and value.
Hi there I just came upon your site which I must say is pretty cool and informative. I have a Grand Suzuki W-40 Hillbilly and would like to know how old it is really, I have played it for at least 20 years after rescuing it from some drunk idiot who didn’t give a damn for it so took it upon myself to give it back it’s respect as it plays absolutely wonderful. The only problem I have had was about 15 years ago when one of the struts by the bridge came unstuck which caused the bridge to tip towards the
soundhole but since re-gluing it and over the passage of time it has returned to it’s rightfull position which is amazing I think!!
Everybody comments on the the beautiful wedge shaped insert on the back of the body. The only marks I can see are the numbers 70405 or 70905.
I would love any info on this instrument as it is my pride and joy and especially as I paid only £30 as it was given to me in an exchange for the cash on a temporary basis but the guy never came back to me!
Thanks for any help you
can give me, take care, Ken Rowlands.

Re: Real values of ANY guitar
Mario ter Braak
Hi Alain,
I have a W-300 and want another Kiso Suzuki (cheap and good enough). Now there is someone who wants to sell a (Grand)Suzuki SW-301; have you ever heard of this type?
I hope, you can tell!
I have a Suzuki guitar that I picked up at a garage sale when I was practically broke. It doesn’t have a serial number or anything. I’ve checked it out fully and all it has is a lable inside the says "Suzuki No. 36". Do you have any more info on this guitar? Maybe how old it is and what its worth (even if its not much)? Thanks. My email is [email protected].
For what I could learn with years, you can’t unfortunately really rely on numbering made by Suzuki, because this company sold guitars under different names : kiso suzuki, three s, takeruh, suzuki…
I need to see some pics and then I’ll compare with the models and pics I have in my database. For what I beliec it could be a F120 or F130. But really, I need to see it : neck (front and back, head, back, top, label inside the top.
Than I can give you, I guess, a really better answer.
My best regards,
Alain.

I have a Kiso Suzuki acoustic guitar the model stated there is SS-18 with serial number 80573… I can’t find any info regarding this one… Can somebody give me an idea regarding its value? It has a mother pearl inlays, spruce top and a dreadnought style… The headstock had a KS Suzuki (vertically inscribed)… Looking forward for a reply… Thanks
I used to love and collect many kiso suzuki guitars because everybody said it sounded as good or better than martin guitars.
This is false, wrong, not true !!!
It’s just legend.
Those guitars (kiso) have fine plastic motifs but can never compete with "real" guitars !!!!
Why ? Because table of the guitar is….ashwood !!!! I broke one and could see it…
If you want really better sounding guitars than the suzuki with low price, go for yamaha dw8 (300-400US). It’s worth the money and sounds 10x better than the suzuki.
The suzuki sounds not that bad at low level. Play hard and they all Bzz or sound get very confused….
By the way all my kiso suzuki are for sale….
How much ?
They price 50euros (dollars) at ebay.de !!!
Usually you can get them for 80 euros (dollars)
That’s their real price.
I have no doubt some guys will want to pay 300 extra bucks for those ashes guitar. I idi once. Never do it again.
I found this Kiso Suzuki acoustic guitar at a consignment shop and wonder what its value is. The serial number is 00155 and model number looks like K 190. It also has an ink signature Suzuki on the label inside. The head is inlaid with the mispelled word “Sunflowe” and it say limited edition. The neck is inlaid with a flower that runs up the fret board. I can’t find this unique guitar anywhere on the internet. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Hi I need help identifying a guitar.

Hi guy’s I have been given a ACKS model 70
A few years ago the guitar has a really interesting
Story behind it it’s still in very good condition and it sounds amazing with a really deep and rich tone and
I struggle to find any information about it on the internet
What I could find is that ACKS was made by Suzuki and
That this is supposedly a very rare guitar I was wondering if anyone can give me more information
Regarding this pretty mysterious guitar
I bought a suzuku classic guitare k 150. (serial number 21224)
Did someone knows something about it ?
Are The woods laminated or solid ? I did’t found any information on google.
All i know is that it’s weight is light
Do you know the value of a wt-200 1971 21 fret Kiso Suzuki acoustic Guitar! Needs a bridge and nut, other than that it’s in good shape. Serial number 71236
any information about the Kiso Suzuki HILLBILLY, HW-250 R , serial number 70912?
There is a guy selling it on the internet for 400€. I would like to know the real value. Thanks.
I have a 74 Suzuki w150. It has a K in front of the serial number. I was told this indicates that it was Handmade by Kiso himself. It is serial number 0074 B. It plays so beautifully. I had a psycho ex break her and had a new back of solid wood put on her as her original back was broken in half. Since repaired she no longer buzzes, plays amazingly well. She already sang like a bird. I dont want to sell her but does anyone have any idea what she would be worth?
I have a Takeharu 65D made by the Suzuki Piano and Violin Company (Kiso Suzuki) Do any of you have any info on this guitar? It’s a perfect Gibson Dove copy

Hi there. I purchased a AB335R guitar. Has the in pretty decent shape. Looks as though the serial number leans to a 1972. Is there any sites that help break down the model letters and numbers. My guitar has the v inlay in the back. By the way it sounds amazing. If anyone has found info on these guitars id love to know more about it.
I’ve seen a K.Suzuki old guitar for sale.Looks like a Gibson J200 in maple back and sides.Solid top.Poor tuners.Plays and sounds great.Any comments before 27/01/2017. Thanks.
In 1978 I took this wonderful acoustic guitar. Spent about $ 500 in Italian lire =300.000,00 lire at the exchange period).
I wonder how much it might cost today this instrument if you want to sell?
It ‘s perfect, bridge, feet, rope, acoustic, no scratch. Beautifull.
would love to own one of these again. my father got mine for me when I was young and I have looked for over 35 years for a W-350 or one that would be sure to sound as well all the way up to the w-500. Heard there was a w-600 at one point. would never resale. want it because of what the w-350 means to me. If you have one and you would like to sale it, please let me know. Or the W-500. Thank you.
saw a guitar at a yard sale and was looking things up about it and some guy came and picked it up and bought it, looking for a woc260? leaves going up the front? where can I find one for sale
how much is it worth now..my late father bought it in the seventies..still in good condition…just the string tuner broke..one piece only…i can easily replace it…but dont have time…busy with work…i inherited it from my late father…keep it for memories…im just an amateur guitar player…no that great..hahaha…just want to share thats all..tq
Would appreciate some information about my Morris W-23?
My teenaged daughter needs a starter guitar and wants a Norman/Simon and Patrick or other Godin made guitar and I’m trying to convince her that my bashed around relic that has entertained at more than a few campfires and amateur stages in the past 30 years is great starter guitar!
I purchased up a Grand Suzuki guitar, model # GT180, at a yard sale yesterday for $15.00. The guitar is cracked on the side and has a small hole on the edge of the face close to the neck. Surprisingly, the sound is strong and beautiful; I didn’t expect anything more than a dull thud because of the damage. I would like to know what the original value was and also, if I repair the cracks could it destroy the sound?
I found a Suzuki classical at a shop and bought it for 20.00 , It plays beautifully and looks brautiful, only problem is I don’t know what I have ! All I can read inside is established 1887 – registered trademark – Suzuki guitar – NO. 32 – SUZUKI VIOLIN CO. LTD. – NAGOYA JAPAN, Any help identifying this instrument would be appreciated, thanx.
I have a suzuki acoustic guitar, model number w300. I have had this guitar for over 30 years. Would any one happen to
know where the serial number be located on this instrument. Please send any information you may have to my email address. Thank you
Apparently they are a copy/knockoff of Martin guitars and were sued by them and were discontinued.I also have a W-300 and has no serial number on it.I was given this guitar by a friend who pulled it out of a trash can and it has the best sound I have ever heard out of a guitar. With intricate inlays and CFSuzuki on the head/Est.1951 I would like more info also.Any would be appreciated.Thankyou.
the serial number is pressed into the neck stock which you can see if you look down through the sound hole towards the neck. Use a good light. I have one also.
Would like to find W-350 Suzuki, believe called a Kiso Suzuki made in Japan with Cherry Wood on the outside? and a Light Maple? in the Middle of the three sections of wood on the back. My dad purchased the guitar for me when I was about 14 or 15 yrs old. With a narrow neck, it fit my hands perfectly, and everything about it was everything I loved in a guitar. It was stolen from me and I have searched for it for a very long time. Thanks!
Have been looking for one myself. Mine was also stolen. Broke my heart. Fit my fingers just right. Let me know if you find more than one that you would be willing to let me in on. Thanks, Kathleen

Hello, I recently purchased a 1970 Morris W-50, the seller told me its a replica of a Martin D-45 and that they were banned in the states because of Martin Lawsuits. It really is a beautiful guitar, Its back is made up of Brazillian rosewood with a strip of maple in the center, the front I’m pretty sure is spruce and it has abalone inlay all around the perimeter of the front bindings and the rosetta as well, beautifully made guitar. I paid US $580.00. Just wondering How I did and what you think they are worth.
Thanks!
Mitch Barker.

: I’ve been long searching to find something about Suzuki guitars; this is the only site I came upon,so far. I own a Suzuki Three’s F-120 acoustic;it’s a Martin D-28 look-alike,with a v-shaped neck and a laminated spruce top,it sounds great. I bought it in 1976 in a specialized music shop in Groningen/Holland, for about $150. I recently equipped it with a EMG piezo pick-up element under the saddle, and played it amplified over a Yorkville A-100. You won’t believe your ears. My two "playmates" play an expensive Takemine and a nice Yamaha cut-away; I would not trade my F-120 against both of them. I wonder if the Suzuki Three’s company/Nagoya still exists, if there is any paper evidence left of the range of guitars they ever produced. The only guitar with a sound that comes in close to mine is a Seagull S6, warm and mellow, but expensive in holland.
: Like to hear from you all.

I have one that I bought around 1976 in Scotland. It still sounds great and remains almost as new. I have never had any problems with it. Martin Booth did a number on it a few years ago and brought it back to new. Mind you I have no idea of the type jst that it is a Martin copy.
I have a F-120 suzuki threes too.
It has been bought by my brother in the 70’s.
I fully agree with your feeling, it sound really good according to its low price.
The only weak side is the mecanics .
I am currently searching informations about this guitar (details about wood ….etc)
if you have some infos thank you to forward it to me.
I got a Suzuki F-200 that I got from a neighbor.
He’s had it in his garage for 10 years! When I opened the case, I expected the worst. But to my surprise, everything looked intact. The neck was straight as an arrow, and it was still in tune, after 10 years in a non-heated garage in Colorado! This is the best acoustic guitar that I’ve ever owned.

Suzuki is still making guitars and they are highly praised from what I am hearing. Check out their website at: http://www.suzukimusic.com/guitars/
I am also looking for information on older Suzuki guitars and it is next to impossible to find anything. If I find a site, I will post here.
Maybe if you find a music store that carries Suzukis, you can get a number for a factory rep who might know something…

I too own an suzuki three’s f-120. It was bought around 1980 for about 150euros or so (in Belgium). The sound is amazing! It sounds like a high-end model. I am also very interested in acquiering other suzuki models. A antique-knower I know told me the suzuki babies where semi-hand made. And because nowbody wanted an jap instrument at the time, they were sold really cheap.

Please let me know if you find something!! I was recently GIVEN a Suzuki F200 by my manager. Someone gave it to him in 1979. Near as we can figure, its a Martin D42 knock off. I love it so far. Also, my step-brother has a Nagoya guitar that is great! I’d love to find out more about both of these gems.
Thanks,
Brent
:Brent, I used to own a Nagoya. They were sold by a music dealer in the Washington, DC are called Veneman Music. Excellent sound. My first guitar. Gave it to someone to fix the tuning pegs and never got it back. My friend has a 12 string. We each bought our guitars from Venemans in the early 1970’s. Would love to find one again. Phil
Glad to hear about kindred spirits out there. I have a Suzuki SD-335 that I absolutely love, despite also having an EN-10 and a real old D-20. I don’t think mine is worth all that much but the sound and playability is second to none. Love to know if there’s a site about Suzuki guitars.
Cheers.

I have found A suzuki F-120 double string guitar just laying on the ground so I took it home I dont know how it sounds cause I need new strings and I have no money left cause I just bought my new electric guitar but I am a 16 year old boy living in holland and Im obsest of guitars so I will treat every guitar nice if I have new money I will buy new strings and play nice songs on it
I have a Suzuki F-250 12 string that has been "on loan" to me a nearly a year. I love the way it sounds and plays. does anyone know how much they are worth – so I can give the owner a reasonable offer to buy it from him – I do not want to part with it. There is something about..
Hello anyone and everyone. I have just purchased a mint Nagoya Suzuki SD380 with factory fitted ARTEC HT-MC Piezo+ Microphone Blender EQ. It will be of interest and support some of the comments if I tell you I traded in a Taylor 310, 2002 model, fitted 6months ago with a Fishman Matrix for a couple of guitars. This Suzuki and a Simon and Patrick S&P Parlor. In my opinion the Suzuki could pass for a high-end Martin in appearance, and sounds like a cross between a Martin D and a Gibson (Kalamazoo)D45. Lots of ring and a woody quality that you would associate with 50’s American guitars. I reckon some Japanese technicians have really measured every detail in this Guitar to produce such a remarkable instrument. I would not swap this guitar for any Taylor I’ve heard or played. The Korean and Chinese guitars look nice… this Japanese guitar looks superb but more importantly, plays to a professional audience grabbing standard.
PS Yes, I know my name’s Robert Taylor and, I hasten to add Taylor guitars are excellent but, I’m not he, I’m ME! Spangler Arlington Brough (aka Robert Taylor – Film star) ensured a lot of "Baby Taylors" made in the 50’s were called Robert!

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows the worth of a mint condition suzuki F120 guitar? I can’t seem to find out anything specific about them, or when it was made, the story behind them, etc. I have one and would like any info, especially value, possible history. Thanks
Hi fellow-Suzukes! Just found an F200 in great shape in Berkelely CA. Looks like a fancy D28 and sounds like HEAVEN. What luck. There’s a couple of scratches on the top, (solid spruce), but they don’t bother me when I play it. Balanced, beautifully intonated, and warm. I had a D28 made in ’63, but it didn’t sound this good. : Glad to hear about kindred spirits out there. I have just come across a Suzuki F-200 that is like new condition. It was purchased as a gift for a family member who didnt play guitar,… and never learned so the guitar sat TOTALLY unused. There is not evev one pic mark on the guard. No scratches anywhere and original foam wrap that the guitar was wrapped in froim the factory.
It sounds amazing and looks even better. My friend has an ovation, a Martin, and several yamahas. He thinks the guitar is 40+years old.
Also he would testify that this suzuki plays, sounds, and has an action that is beyond compare. He tries to buy it off me everytine we get together and jam. I have not used the guitar other than to test it and put on new strings. I have seen this model sell for upwards of $400-$500 us dollars in mediocre to beat up condition.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what it is worth, age, and materials used in construction.
Not that I am selling this beauty… just curious.
Thanks
Wade
Suzuki threes F120 from 1970es information and value...
Anonymous
History facts…
The Suzuki Violin factory began with guitar making with great success in period after the WWII
The US forces were in that period in control of whole Japan
The Martin factory from the US made contacts and began producing guitars in many instrument making companies in whole Japan, most of those companies were with cheap labour, but as the whole world knows japanese people are fanatics, they began making instruments better then the Martin itself, some of the best japan guitar makers, true masters in the guitar making were sent to Martin factories in America to improve sound of guitars there as well, then in late 60′ US was almost completely out from Japan, what left was factories making amazing guitars with cheaper prices…Realizing this fact American brands Martin and Gibson, as many began with Lawsuit those companies, this was never proved but the truth is that this was happening in 12 year period up to early 80′(1970′- 1982′)
For guitar collectors this is known fact, and some of the brands like Terada, Suzuki, Aspen, Yamaha, Takamine, Greco, and many other brands from Japan Law suit era have now great value…
This guitar Suzuki threes F120 in good condition from the period until 1982. has value from 300-500 US $
Some of them have great sound, even better then the original Martin D-28 from that period, but you can not will not, have the same value as Martin in money, not now not ever, because this is only a copy, and not the original…
the truth is that basic difference is in quality guarantee, If you buy a guitar from Martin you get what you pay, great guitar with quality guarantee, and copy can be great but it can be a peace of wood, you never know, that is why big brands have bigger value, but in Law suit Era this was not the case, most of guitars had great quality so that is why those guitars from Japan are hard to get and with good value now days…
Just got one to repair, and body fair shape but neck fretboard came off 85% of neck, any suggestions on repair, I am interested to see how it compares in sound with other guitars I own Guild and Gibson JG-O, as I never owned a Martin but love the recorded sounds of Martins.
Hello, I found this web site and well this is great, I own a suzuki sd312 – 12 string guitar and I hoping that someone will be able to help me. I’m looking for a tuning peg (machine head) one broke and would like to keep the guitar original.
These are closed back type, if you know were or someone that might have them, I would be grateful.
Thank You All,
Sabino
Hey, I got mye fathers guitar some years ago, and i’ve always loved it, but it isn’t until recently i’ve found something about it. I had no idea it was as old as it is. But its still in good condition and the sound is amazing. Just got it back after sending it in to change the saddle. I’ve considered bying a new acoustic now, so i’ve tried alot of guitars around, but I cant find anything in my pricerange that can compete with the Suzuki, so I think i’ll just stick to it and buy a 12-string instead. Please post some links about these guitars if u find something interesting.
This is was I e-mailed to the 1st site I saw on Suzuki Acoustics.> I just happened to be checking for sites on Suzuki’s & yours was the 1st I pulled up. I have a Suzuki acoustic WR-150 which I purchased in 1978 for $145.00 reduced from $175.00, when I was 18. I believe it is a 1976 according to the salesman at the time. The Serial# is 71017. They were no longer producing them and this was the last one at his shop.
The only info I have on it is the tag inside the sound hole which reads:Kiso Suzuki Violin Co Model#WR-150 and looks like it is hand signed by Suzuki but not for sure, could be just part of the printing process. This is said to be the same company that made the violins for the "Suzuki way of Music" for teaching young children music.
I was offered $1200.00 by a 56 yr old guitarist from So St Paul, MN USA who has had blues bands ever since jr high school. He said that the Japanesse in the 70’s turned out some great guitars trying to get into the american and euro markets and confirmed the high quality.
Today at Mars Music I played a $1000. Martin that I wouldn’t trade my Suzuki for.
I really started to play for the last 5 yrs and everyone who has played it from pro’s to novice really likes it and always comments on the great tone. I will continue searching and if I find another info, I will try to get it to you. http://hometown.aol.com/rpalodi/myhomepage/business.html

I also have a Kiso Suzuki WR 150 serial nº 60625 that i purchased in North Spain ( Vigo), in October, 1976. I paid 3 500 pesetas in that time. ( Since i´m portuguese, that represents about 1 750$00 in that time. By now, in terms of euros, it would be about ⬠10,00 or 8 dollars. Given tha gap of time, if today that would amount to about $ 150,00.
But, i think the sound of that particular japanese guitar, is well worth the sound os Martins costing ten times more…
jUST BOUGHT it last week. Looks great, put elixir nanoweb strings on it . It sounds dead. It was bought and then left in a closet judging by no wear on it. Will an instrument come back to life if exposed to noise? Anyone have any ideas on the noise factor and reviving resonance?
Ive got a Kiso Suzuki model 150 messd up my e mail yesterday sorry serial#00905 not 945. how old is it? I don’t get the formula to find out the age. thanks

I’m writing because of a comment posted on this page. I believe I too have a Suzuki ‘Folk Guitar’, this one labelled Number 9. I am curious to know how old it may be, and if it has any value. It requires some small repairs, and was wondering if it would be worth fixing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Chris, im in the same boat as you. I have a Suzuki classical style guitar and mine is also numbered. (No. 9)
It was made in Nagoya, Japan. If you find any information about our guitars please contact me and tell me what you’ve discovered.

Hi, I have one too. I bought it about 20 yrs ago. I bought it to learn guitar, but never really did. The sound is wonderful for a low priced, but quality made guitar.

Hi, I’ve read all your inquiries regarding these guitars but I myself don’t see a serial number on mine or date of manufacture. it just has a label that says Suzuki Guitar No. 36. It’s at least 25 years old – passed down from my dad. no idea what woods it’s made of but it has an amber top and a dark dark back and sides. Anyone have any idea where to find out more about suzuki guitars?

Hey there I have a Kiso Suzuki J-200 BB model that my Mom got when she was like 20 so its roughly 1970’s-1980’s old. Starting to think it might be reasonablr valuable considering I hated it as it was the worst guitar to start on as the action was crazy and the jumbo as was annoying so i moved onto factory made ttanglewood. Would sell if someone wants it as they may appreciate it more than me!
I too have an accoustic guitar made at the kiso suzuki violin company. I bought mine in 1973 and paid about $350 as best I can recall. Mine has a pickup in the sound hole from the manufacturer. I have a matching 12 string but it is not electric. Both have aged to have a great sound but I too do not know what the current value is. If anyone knows if the company is still in business, I’d like to know so I might be able to do some research. Thanks, Dave.
So, here’s what I know. I received my Kiso Suzuki J-200 (very similar to Gibson’s version only WAY cheaper) for my high school graduation in 1981 brand new. I too have been trying to find info on my best friend. I did read somewhere that the KSVC went out of business around that same time, so my guess is that my guitar was one of the last ones made before they went out of business. I have never seen another Suzuki guitar, haven’t seen them on ebay, craig’s list, nothing. My mom said she bought it from a local music store in Yuba City, CA where we lived for $200.00 out the door and that included a hard case. As I mentioned, it looks very much like the Gibson model J(for jumbo)-200 (Elvis played that one). It has blonde wood guessing maple all around, inlay stripe down the back, crown shaped fret inlay mother of pearl, the pick plate is almost identical to Gibson’s (dandelion flowers), chrome machine heads, and ivory edging. I wouldn’t trade this guitar for ANYTHING. It’s not only gorgeous after all these years, it still sounds and plays as good as the Gibson counterpart, which today lists for over $5k. In fact, I just spent a couple hundred putting a L.R. Baggs M1 pickup in it. I’ve looked at others and played many–nothing could replace this guitar.
Thanks for your post.
Its good to seeing some discussion on this marvellous guitar.
I have had mine since late 70’s and I too would not trade it for anything.
I recently played it live and someone came to me afterwards and said they couldn’t see me playing, but thought it was a Marshall guitar.
Guitars have come and gone, but this one will stay. 🙂
The action is easy andthe sheer presence of its sound is awesome. Its not called a Jumbo for nothing.
Its great acoustically and as an acoustic-electric. I chose not to cut a hole to install a pup, but installed a Takimine Triax Sound hole magnetic pup instead….
It runs on a 3v battery and lasts forever. It has 3 coils which go deep into the hole so it doesn’t miss a thing.
I recently bought the Steve Vai Ibanez Ep9 Euphoria, which is beautiful to play, but the truth is I am more confident with the J200.
i have model wos 260, a good size acoustic with mother of pearl inlay in frets in shape of crawling ivy. My grandfather tells me he aquired it second hand in 1970s. Before i got this guitar in 1995, i played a martin, but ever since this guitar came into my possesion i sold the martin and play this, the action is great and it sounds divine honestly its that good, never before or since have i played or heard a guitar that sounds as good as my K Suzuki.

I too have a suzuki 260 with mother of pearl leafy type design going up the fretboard. I got it second hand in the early 80’s. I was wondering if anyone knew how much it was worth – only out of curiosity – I don’t want to sell it.
My acoustic sounds almost identical to the one described here, but I can find little info on it on the net, which I find odd. Mine is a Kiso Suzuki violin company LTD guitar (hard to read model number)It has a dark brown back and sides and a light ‘golden’ top with a mother of pearl vine inlay in the neck in the shape of ivy, it has a ‘mustache’ shaped peg board with white pegs and an inset on each side and an unusually shaped ‘tortoise shell pick guard. Around the sound hole is a thick black line bordered on each side by with a ‘candy stripe’ sort of pattern. The thick black line is inset with mother of pearl decoration (dot then ornate diamond) On the the back it has one central vertical inset stripe (ornate)on the head it has ‘CT? (hard to read ornate writing) Suzuki & co est 1951’. It is a beautiful guitar I have owned for the last 11 years but sadly know little about, I’ve not seen another like it at all:( It has a lovely sound and a really low action without any buzz, and is just so nice to play. I would love to know more about it, If anyone knows anything, I’d love to know how old it is

Hi I have an Accoustic Guitar made by K. Suzuki model no 9507 bought in 1975 cost £56.00, here we are forty years later and it still sounds as good as it did when it was new, What a lovely instrument. Mike
I also have this guitar. It’s amazing and very sentimental.I bought it in a keyboard store maybe around 1981. I always called the inlay, jack and the beanstalk. This guitar sounds amazing and plays amazing. It cost around 300.00 with a case from what I remember.
hi guys I also have a wos260/12 string in amazing condition with the tree of life inlay , adjustable bridge etc would love to see pictures of other owners wos260’s and hear your story’s of how you acquired your super rare vintage Suzuki guitar please join our quest to link All vintage kiso Suzuki guitar owners in one place …facebook ( I know but pretty much everyone’s on it !) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Suzuki-Guitars/189707151062854
I looked for ya on FB but truth be known i am a dinosaur, i do have a (cf suzuki & Co. ) guitar. it is truly a beautiful and best made guitar around. i bought it when i was 21 years old that would be 34 years ago. the shop i bought it at told me he special ordered it new for a man and when it came in the man did not like it well enough to buy it so i have always thought i bought it new. i took it to a guitar shop a few years ago in oak ridge Tn. and the man looked at it a few min’s and said “what suzuki had done was take the best of the best being a gibson & a martin to make one great guitar. it has the heel of a gibson (heel being the back part of the neck where the neck is supported on the side of the guitar) and he went on to tell me all about how well made the guitar is made and what on it is a cf martin and what is a gibson fashion. it is truly odd how suzuki on the top of the head of the guitar put ” CF suzuki & Co. ” to make it look like a “CF Martin & Co. ” the model # on mine is wos-260 BB so i have always thought. i took it to a shop in knoxville Tn. years ago and in a book of trade value we found the model # wos-260 but nothing had anything after that like mine being the ” BB “. so i thought it might be the mark of ” special order ” like the man told me when i bought it but i truly have no idea what the BB means. i like you it seams to be impossible to find anything out about these guitar’s.
ive always been under the impression bb was for bottom belly meaning the bridge… I also have the original fred gretsch 1981 guitar catalog in which the guitar is featured and on the cover it says fixed bridge …. so that’s all I can tell you
I have it too …. I stole it from alocal pawn store for $60.00 !!!!
I love this guitar the action is crazy amazing and the tone is die for , it is the lawsuit version.. any info on it would be appreciated

I have a takehuru hk-100 guitar.. is is at least 25 years, probably more years older.. # 91206.. can anybody tell me anything about its origin and/or value? please email me at [email protected]
I also have a takehuru acoustic (not currently in my posesion)so i can’t provide model number (made in 1975)has alot of pearling,4 to 5 timber construction. Have also been trying to establish a $ value. From what I understand takehuru’s where made in a ibanez factory (japan),& farmed out from the suziki violin co.and marketed as a premium model guitar by suzuki. There seems to some relation between the old takehuru and relatively recent (last 10 _15 yrs) takamine guitars.

That previous reply is not mine, I forgot to delete the last guys message before typing in mine!
OK, that said, let me fill you in a bit on Suzuki guitars.
To begin with they "are" an "entry-to-mid" range instrument built to compete with the other nipponese offerings of similar price range, ie fender, yamaha, alvarez, and yes the over priced takamines. The quality is as expected from most modern era Japanese manufactured articles, very good to excellent. They are for the most part unremarkable in their voice and playability, which does not mean they are not good enough for most players, they are well built and rather accurate in the hands of a good musician.
They did not gain the notoriety of the other japanese instruments for whatever reasons such things happen, (similar to the VHS victory over the superior BETA video format) or the failure of the mini-disc audio system, etc. etc. ad infinitum.
I earn my living as a guitarist both in the studio and on the stage, and I also collect and sell guitars, and have done both for almost thirty years. I have in my collection single instruments valued in excess of $15,000, and I also still have my own "first" guitar which was given me as a christmas gift and probably sold for less than $30, and while there are no doubt many professional folks who are more knowledgable on the subject than me, I am fairly aware of the "guitar culture".
The Suzuki brand is not well known among casual players, but those few who have used them tend to place them at about the same level as they would a Peavey or Hagstrom.
There is a single standout exception however and it’s in the "acoustic" line of Suzuki’s, and that’s the model 300 dreadnought. This particular guitar was specifically designed to mimic the D-28 Martin which is legendary in bluegrass and folk (and other) music. The caveat is that only a certain era of those (mod. 300) are the "collectable" crem-de-la-crem, and are actually "better" in voice quality than the Martin, and that seems to be the ones that were imported around the mid 70’s with serial numbers in the 770,000 – 772,000 range. I have owned and sold two or three model 300’s, but the only one I currently own is one that I actually bought "off the stage" from a band in Nashville, and I will vouch for the fact that it is very solidly in the Martin-Guild-Taylor league (all of which I have and love). Only the "insider" types are aware of this guitar and it may never be worth a great deal of money, on the other hand it could be like the gibson arch-tops of the twenties and thirties which could be bought for $35 and which today in mint condition could easily fetch $10,000 or more. But if you are into the sparkle and definition of steel string acoustics this would be perhaps the present "best-for-the-money" deal going.
i own a 70 les paul copy thats just wickedly crafted it has full abalone binding and an abalone vine inlay all the way down the neck its such a beutifull guitar but i want to find out more info onit could you hellp me out!
I too have a Suzuki Guitar. The Label on the inside says Model# W-140, Original. It was brought over from Japan about 10 years ago. It’s in really good shape. It has sea shell lining around the body and sound hole. It’s a nice looking guitar. Anybody have any ideas as to much it’s worth?
Hi, My Suzuki W-5025, has a solid spruce top, solid rosewood sides and three piece back. It also has abalone inlay around the sound hole, along the front binding and between the three piece back. There is a white ivoriod binding on the peghead and the rosewood finger board. Any info would be most appreciated!
Hi, the discription you gave for your `Suzy` is very similar to my box. but mine has no decypherable number on the label, but has `Susuki Three sSs` on the headstock.
and was made by the Susuki Violin Co. I suspect mine is around 1965/75. I like you would love to know.
cheers Nick.

Dear sir,
I have a Suzuki guitar, red, with a hummingbird scratch plate (VERY WORN) that was bought for me about 1973. Would this be rare now or worth a lot of money? It still plays well and has a lovely sound.
Best wishes.

i have one too and would love to know the value. is anywhere from 50 to 90 yrs old
Actually guitar is from late 1969-1970. Although some people like their small sound, their collectibilty is low. Value would be between $30-$60 depending on condition.

I bought a guitar at a garage sale for 12 bucks and the brand says SuzukiViolin co. and the number of it is 700 can anyone help me??? Man this guitar looks like it is from the 60’s i have had confirmations about that by some other guitarists. Please help me my email address is [email protected] And about your guitar i will ask my uncle he will probably know he knows so much about guitars it isn’t even funny.

Hi,
Made in the 70’s & from memory when I bought mine it was a weeks pay & I was on really good money back in the 70-80’s.
Great guitar, great sound & becoming quite rare. I have been looking for a second one for the last 7 years & have not seen one forsale.
from 0 to 10 it rates from 8.7 to 9.7
check out the reviews on:

I was just wondering if anyone knows any information on my guitar it is a Kiso Suzuki J200 anf if it is any good?
ok – so this is really raising a dead topic…
i am looking for a replacement kiso suzuki j200 for sentimental reasons. do you still have yours? if so, would you still be interested in selling?
Hello, I was wondering if the guitar i listed in the subject column is worth anything. It’s hard to find any info on the internet about it. Please reply and thank you for your time.
I recently inherited the accoustic guitar and would like some information about the value, history, etc. It was purchased in the 1970’s.
Thank you
Wow, an old question with no answers.

It works every week in our church and its sound is still beautiful! I don’t know anyone else with this guitar in Chile.
Just want to say, that I have a similar w-5025 with Three S, which I bought in Denmark( Ilive her) in 1976
Hey, I know it’s been a while but I just bought this model from a co worker, the model with the Three s’s I can’t find anything more than you two on the model search in google.

I just recently aquired my grandpa’s SD 335, and would like to know how much it is possibly worth today, because it is an old guitar.
: Hi Alain
: I have a double head Su Suki Folk guitar made in Japan, is there any value in it, regards Ann
Cheers
I HAVE KISO SUZIKI W300 THREE PIOENCE BACK SLENDER NECK AND PICK UP SPLENDIND SOUND IT CAN BE YOURS FOR $400.00
I have the pleasure of owning just such a 12-string.

"The suzuki sounds not that bad at low level. Play hard and they all Bzz or sound get very confused…."
Since you are such a guitar expert, you should know that these matters are 100% adjustible via the neck angle.
: Hi everybody !
: Many people would like to know what to think about their suzuki guitar.
: I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and owned many of them.
: First, let me tell you I’ve owned :
: kiso suzuki wt 150 12 strings
: suzuki sd 335 handmade
: kiso suzuki w200d
: suzuki d35R
: kiso suzuki w40a
: kiso suzuki w40
: kiso suzuki w300
: I now own :
: martin d42
: yamaha dw8 (cheap guitar)
: yamaha ll500
: kiso suzuki w300
: kiso suzuki w35
: Once again, go try the yamaha dw 8 or dw10.
: You’ll understand…
: Best regards,
: Alain.
I have a W-300 at least 35 years old . Has beautiful

Hi Alain & Co.,
A friend has offered to sell me his Kiso Suzuki W80.
Thanks!
Shayna
Sorry — that’s a model W180, not W80.
A Kiso-Suzuki W180 is very rare. You’ll be lucky to get any info, let alone a price. Check in again in two centuries.
: Sorry — that’s a model W180, not W80.
Looking for one.
Hi Ed, I still have my W180 ‘Suzie’ no intentions of selling it though. There is one going on ebay (but in the USA) Kind regards, Ginni
I’d say $500 should do it.
I paid 700 for mine. It’s an ’86 Roseburst.
Hi Spike !
It’s the three S W800 hand made, solid wood top, back and sides, grover tuners abalone and inlay everywhere… You’ll find 1 ex in Japan.

Can someone tell me something about a Kiso Suzuki Grand Hillbilly W-50? I find nothing on the net, but have seen a
photo (D-35 copy from the 70’s–looks gorgeous; seems to have a 3-piece, rio back and spruce top). thanks! fts
Hi Alain,
I have Suzuki no.

The w350 suzuki, i want to buy it from someone, bud we dont know the price, his voice is amazing. Does somebody know what the average price is?
i also have a C.F.SUZUKI W-350 DREADNOUGHT (JO335) and know nothing of their history or pricing, so any info that could be shared with me would be greatly apreciated. i had it left to me in a will about 25yrs ago and am the second owner. have played it for all those yrs and looked after it VERY well, someone please help!? contact; [email protected]

Hi Alain,

Hey Alain
I have a Suzuki guitar that I picked up at a garage sale when I was practically broke. It doesn’t have a serial number or anything. I’ve checked it out fully and all it has is a lable inside the says "Suzuki No. 36". Do you have any more info on this guitar? Maybe how old it is and what its worth (even if its not much)? Thanks. My email is [email protected].
Meg
Hi !

Hi everybody !
Many people would like to know what to think about their suzuki guitar.
I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and owned many of them.
First, let me tell you I’ve owned :
kiso suzuki wt 150 12 strings
suzuki sd 335 handmade
kiso suzuki w200d
suzuki d35R
kiso suzuki w40a
kiso suzuki w40
kiso suzuki w300
I now own :
martin d42
yamaha dw8 (cheap guitar)
yamaha ll500
kiso suzuki w300
kiso suzuki w35
Once again, go try the yamaha dw 8 or dw10.
You’ll understand…
Best regards,
Alain.
Thanks,

I also have one and am having difficulties getting info on them

In 1978 I took this wonderful acoustic guitar. Spent about $ 500 in Italian lire =300.000,00 lire at the exchange period).

It ‘s perfect, bridge, feet, rope, acoustic, no scratch. Beautifull.

Hi there,
Would appreciate some information about my Morris W-23?
My teenaged daughter needs a starter guitar and wants a Norman/Simon and Patrick or other Godin made guitar and I’m trying to convince her that my bashed around relic that has entertained at more than a few campfires and amateur stages in the past 30 years is great starter guitar!
I have a Suzuki three s f200. I paid about $500 for it years ago. I’m just curious of its value even though I’d never part with it.

Hi there,
I have a Nagoya Suzuki SD 365 S Handcrafted D 89070840 Guitar in excellent condition, could I please have an idea of the value of this please.
Thankyou.

Thanks!

Regards

Hey there,
Suzuki is still making guitars and they are highly praised from what I am hearing. Check out their website at:
http://www.suzukimusic.com/guitars/
I am also looking for information on older Suzuki guitars and it is next to impossible to find anything. If I find a site, I will post here.
Maybe if you find a music store that carries Suzukis, you can get a number for a factory rep who might know something…

Hi,
I too own an suzuki three’s f-120.

Thanks,
Brent

Cheers.

I have found A suzuki F-120 double string guitar just laying on the ground so I took it home I dont know how it sounds cause I need new strings and I have no money left cause I just bought my new electric guitar but I am a 16 year old boy living in holland and Im obsest of guitars so I will treat every guitar nice if I have new money I will buy new strings and play nice songs on it
my question is what is the guitar worth?

Also, my step-brother has a Nagoya guitar that is great! I’d love to find out more about both of these gems.
: : : Thanks,

: : : : I’ve been long searching to find something about Suzuki guitars; this is the only site I came upon,so far.
: : : : Like to hear from you all.
: : :Brent, I used to own a Nagoya. Phil

Thanks

FW 93-12. Can you please tell me the approximate worth?

I have a suzuki guitar model number 700 on the inside label and have no idea what this guitar is worth, it’s in good shape other that a few scratches would you be able to help me out.
i have the same guiatr — suzuki no. 36 — and its got no other label on it. I’ve checked the guitar throughout. if you find anything, email me! I picked mine up at a garage sale, so I cant even ask anyone about it and my teacher doesn’t know either.

Hi Maria,
Thanks for your post.
What a guitar!
Thanks again
Paul

I would love to know more about it, If anyone knows anything, I’d love to know how old it is
~Alison
: I recently bought this at an estate auction. I was told it was early 1950’s but more than that I don’t know. It’s pretty beat up and I’m having trouble finding out much about it. Can you help me with the age and any other pertinent info you think woould be of interest.
Thanks,
Larry

few days ago i pick up my suzuki guitar from a op shop.so lucky that there was 2 of them but i pick mine which is a better condition.so on my guitar it has a label of steel reinforced neck .mother of pearl on the frets, its a small traveller type or you can say its like a baby martin size.the inner label its got established 1887, model no 6,suzuki voilin co.ltd. made in nagoya japan.the sound of it is great after i change a set of exp strings the on it.the action is low without any buzz.
The KISO SUZUKI is not in business any longer, and it is hard to assess a value on their tems…I have a violin and the most I’ve been offered is $10.00 ;-(

I’m in the Army Band station in Japan and I found the same type of guitar made in 1966 with I believe is the serial number 60. I was lucky enough to pick it up at a recycle shop for only 500YEN which was around 4.5 USD. It sounds and plays wonderful.

Hi I have an Accoustic Guitar made by K. Suzuki model no 9507 bought in 1975 cost £56.00, here we are forty years later and it still sounds as good as it did when it was new, What a lovely instrument. Mike
One just ended on Ebay for $363 + $30 shipping. Bummer. Should have jumped on it.
I also have this guitar. It’s amazing and very sentimental.I bought it in a keyboard store maybe around 1981. I always called the inlay, jack and the beanstalk. This guitar sounds amazing and plays amazing. It cost around 300.00 with a case from what I remember.
hi guys I also have a wos260/12 string in amazing condition with the tree of life inlay , adjustable bridge etc would love to see pictures of other owners wos260’s and hear your story’s of how you acquired your super rare vintage Suzuki guitar please join our quest to link All vintage kiso Suzuki guitar owners in one place …facebook ( I know but pretty much everyone’s on it !)

# 91206.. can anybody tell me anything about its origin and/or value? please email me at [email protected]
thnx

Hey man,
I also own a Suzuki Les Paul, from the research I have done it must be a 70s les paul.
I’m guessing it must be Mahogany wood as it is very heavy. 22 frets rosewood and bolt on (unfortunately) neck.
the Humbuckers it had i took them out as they had a lot noise when playing with distortion.
If you can post some pics of your suzuki i will post some of mine.

I have the same guitar. Did you ever hear any feedback?

Hi, the discription you gave for your `Suzy` is very similar to my box. but mine has no decypherable number on the label, but has `Susuki Three sSs` on the headstock.
and was made by the Susuki Violin Co. I suspect mine is around 1965/75. I like you would love to know.
cheers Nick.

Dear sir,
I have a Suzuki guitar, red, with a hummingbird scratch plate (VERY WORN) that was bought for me about 1973. Would this be rare now or worth a lot of money? It still plays well and has a lovely sound.
Best wishes.

Hi. I’m trying to find information on suzuki guitar books and the phychology of the system itself. I have two five year old students that are using the Alfred’s Basic Guitar Method #1 but I’d like to try something different that would help me and them in the learning process. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
