Hey whats up, I’m lookin at buyin a new stack and am considering the dsl100, I play metal/rock but mainly metal and want something heavy with a chunky “wet” sound–not a fan of mesa’s though. any body know anything about this amp or any other recomendations. ive heard good things about soldano amps (decatone and slo100) but they are a bit pricey. Thanks a lot.

I recently picked one up myself. I have it running into a 60’s reissue slant front 4×12 cab with celestion greenbacks. It’s pretty versatile as far as sound goes. The dirty channel has teo separate distortion settings, and the clean has a clean and a slightly grittier setting. T he built in reverb is nice, but the footswitch provided only changes channels, not the reverb off. My only complaint is that the footswitch doesnt turn off the reverb, effects loop, or let you switch the built in gain. I’m sure there is a way to modify it, but for all that money it should already come that way like the TSL does. As far as tone goes it sounds awesome. I find that I use less effect pedals with this amp. The only thing you really need is a chorus pedal if you go for that thick clean sound. I also found that the MXR Zakk Wylde overdrive makes the thing scream. I don’t know if this helped your decision or not but I don’t regret buying it.
