    – Press Release

Alvarez is pleased to introduce two new models into its premier Masterworks Series — the MD350 Acoustic and MD350C Cutaway Acoustic Electric.

Like all Alvarez Masterworks Guitars, the new MD350 and MC350C are manufactured to the most exacting tolerances and specifications. Both models feature solid wood construction, with Engelmann Spruce tops and Indian Rosewood back and sides. In addition, a high-quality five-piece laminated neck is attached through dovetail neck joining—a combination that ensures maximum structural stability and optimum transfer of vibration between the neck and body.

The Alvarez Masterworks MD350 Acoustic is a dreadnought style guitar that features ebony fingerboard, tasteful tortoise shell herringbone binding, 12th fret oval fingerboard inlay, and a five-piece laminated neck that offers exceptional structural stability and optimum transfer of vibration between the neck and body. The Alvarez Masterworks MD350 comes with optional electronics

The new cutaway dreadnought MD350C Acoustic Electric comes fully equipped with the award-winning Alvarez System 600T Mk II electronics system. Designed to perfectly reproduce the natural sound of the acoustic guitar, the 600T Mk II uses an advanced piezo bridge pickup system. It’s highly flexible mixing system uses an optional condenser microphone or magnetic sound-hole pickup. A sophisticated notch filter offers superior control of feedback without altering the basic components of the acoustic tone. Internal trim pots adjust the gain of the treble and bass sliders, allowing players to “fine-tune” the Alvarez System 600T Mk II to taste.

Both Alvarez Masterworks models are now available. The MD350 Acoustic has a manufacturers suggested retail price of 449. The MD350C Acoustic Electric has a manufacturers suggested retail price of 699.
