Hey i am back in this forum again buddies,
anyway silly me, i thought i heard listened to all great rockers but suddenly this thin lizzy guy gary moore esp his solo career is what i found last week, man he kicks ass, he has clapton, van halen, jimi hendrix all in one package
kicks ass
ram
It's the donkey I feel sorry for.
It's BB King i feel sorry for, at least the Ass only gets his butt kicked, BB has an assault on the eardrums over the next few months.
I have a Gary Moore Tab book somewhere, a well meaning relative bought it me when I started playing bass, which was nice.
i sold on a 'play along with gary' tab and CD book on ebay for 50p, and he asked for his money back.....sucker!!
You're a bunch of wiseguys  . I don't mind Gary Moore, even if I'm not a massive fan. I'd rather a blat of GM than have my 'oles assaulted by Brian May; whom everyone seems to think has a tone to die for. Just my humble, in defence of aero :P
Thats like me saying i prefer Tina Weymouth as a bass player over Norman Watt-Roy.
Brian May does have massive tone, i don't like it much, but it is instantly recognisable as Brian, i saw a workshop he presented, and he is very much into tone and thinks a lot about his setup.
Always the same guitar, same 3 amps, same effects, same perm.
Moore has tone too, and a distinct style, I get the feeling he's trying to be the next Clapton, or Green, always looking for acceptance for his blues playing, Rock is where he belongs.
 on Tina. "I think these three notes will do".
In some ways, gotta applaud that minimalist style; and she always looked very un-rock-star when playing. More like a schoolmate's Mum, really.
Gary does a Great Friday On My Mind and to include a "We Want Moore!" pun in an album title, genius.
i think brian may , gary moore are good guitarists !!
there is no doubt about that !!
They are all relevant.
Even Tina Weymouth.
