Can Someone Help Me?

Hi. Well, um, I new and honestly just joined this forum so I can find out some information. I'm honestly clueless about guitars, so I won't take up too much of your time.

I inherited this guitar from my grandfather, and I'd like to learn a bit more about it. I plan on actually learning to play it someday. All I do know about it is that it's an older Silvertone.

Can anyone help me? I'd like to know more about it, plus even the value of it if there is any.

E-mail me at [email protected].

Thanks!

(And you'll probably notice, but to clarify, it didn't come strung left-handed; I had that done for me. :) )

I just sold a similar Silvertone guitar on eBay last week. Mine went for £67, which is not bad for this type of guitar. It's probably not worth a great deal, but they are great looking guitars and if you enjoy playing it, then that's all that matters really.

Actually, mine had been re-finished, but yours looks like it's all original, so it's possibly worth more, although it's still not going to be worth a fortune.

I expect yours is a Harmony re-badged as a Silvertone - the headstock shape is a dead giveaway.

Looks like an old instrument, ive heard of Silvertone, whats the stroy behind that brand glw? where were they made? what do they sound like?
