a typical kawai product, the stringguide and the tailpiece says it all to me, when you got one with goldfoil pickups on it hold on to those, these pu’s aged beautifull and now sound very warm and full.(great on a jazzbox)
kawai did made some good guitars mostly under the audition name, nece wood (no plywood) and nice pickups but the most of them are worthless.
but still they are more valueable than you think there is a growing group of kawai collectors.

Whilst it doesn’t match your description, the only “Lero” guitar that I can find a picture of is this one:

It looks to be the same pile of crap that used to appear under the Kay brand name (and others too, most likely).

Perhaps your friend’s one is more “deluxe”, but if it’s anything like the above I’d classify it as bonfire fodder.

I can prolly get a picture of it in a few days when I have band practice again… the guitar is an electric, red body white pick gaurd, hollow body, the neck is black on the front and a darkish brown on the back, the head matches the colour on the back of the neck. there are two dials one tone and one volume beside the dials are two switches for turning pick ups on and off.

Sorry, it’s not a brand I’m aware of.

Yes, a picture would help, as would a fuller description. For starters, is it electric or acoustic?
