Last night I won an Indiana Scout acoustic guitar autographed by the members of Three Dog Night at their concert in Dothan, Alabama. I would like to know if anyone could tell me how much this guitar could be worth. Feel free to reply here, email me, or contact me via AIM. Thank you.

Cage the Elephant is a relatively new band, but they are starting to hit it pretty big. I was lucky enough to win a guitar that was signed by the whole band, and a signed copy of their newest album on vinyl! Best part is, they actually used the guitar on their last European tour. It’s a Fender, Paramount series, PM-2 Deluxe (it’s a beauty.) But, it is damaged on the back side due to the lead guitarist dropping it on stage. I was wondering if anyone here had a clue to what the appraisal price would be. I’ve looked all over the net, and can’t find a signed guitar by cage the elephant anywhere. BTW, it came with a sweet hard shell fender guitar case as well.

Probably already sold it. Dont think he will be looking back on here again, maybe when he wins the next phone in.

To show I am capable of a totally sincere and serious response, I will honestly tell you that, in my experience, autographs rarely enhance the value of a cheap guitar (and almost always decrease the value of a nicer one.) The only exceptions are if the artist(s) is dead or you happen to run into someone who is not only a huge fan of the artist(s) in question, but is also unaware of the truth of my first sentence, and also happens to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance that clouds judgement and leads to impulsive behavior (behaviour for all you British blokes).

Luckily for you, eBay is full of people that meet the above description. If I were you, and you were determined to be rid of the instrument, I would start the bidding at 50 american dollars, have a reserve of $150, and see if anyone bites. 😉

I am a huge fan, but money is a neccesity. And to the guy from the UK….I already know the guitar values at about $100….and they were huge in the U.S. eBay and Google searches have wielded no help so far. Thanks for, well…..thanks for trying.

$100 for the guitar, if you can get the autographs off without damaging the cellulose coating.
seriously, the guitar is worth a hundred, and i havent got a clue what their paw prints are worth, they were never that big in the UK, maybe check ebay for some autograph prices?
      Good luck.

Wait a minute… you’re not thinking of selling it on eBay are you?

Shame on you! I thought you were a fan!
