[quote=”noodle69″]ooooh thanks , a zappa compliment !!! 🙂
yeah , i know the drums are a bit crappy , and the bass lines are vitually non existent , but they really aren’t my thing , so i dont really spend too much time on them , i guess i should !! 😳
i’m hoping to meet some people that can play the instruments i cant cover very well ( as in anything other than guitar) very soon !
lilac wine is excellent but i think that ‘lover , you should have come over’ , may be the greatest love song ever written , by a male !!!
shame the guy had to die in such a way , but i suppose he is now immortalised in his music . one thing that always makes my hair stand on end about jeff buckley is the way that he died , and the references to his demise in his songs , lots of water seems to be mentioned !!! 🙁
thanks for the listen , it is appreciated !!!

I hope you get to play with some quality musicians with lots of ideas, then you really would have something, also makes you play better when playing with other musicians, you get a lot more disciplined.
Do you play live much? -

Where are you coming from Noodles? Despite not having been to Perth, it is supposedly a very nice city to live.

Nothing beats ‘Slaughter Shed’ i love that tune, i said before it’s very Beefheart, it rocks.
Dont like Middle Z much, didnt like the drum track, needs something more than the guitar doodling away to keep me interested.
‘Whatever’ is a better track, a bit more offbeat.
there is the obvious Zappa influence in your music, he always had good musicians around him which i think is what you need, you have some fantastic ideas on the guitar, i love the solo’s on ‘Robot Rebellion’ but again the drum track is a bit of a let down.I noticed you like Jeff Buckley, he did a song called ‘Lilac wine’ that goes down in my top ten best all time songs, makes the hair on the back of your neck stick up.

thanx for the listen micheal !
yeah the vox and my recording capabilities are incompatible !!!
lol !it was intended to be ‘away’ from the mix , as it was meant to be heard above the dirge i like to imagine as being music 😈
the ‘whatever’ track was intended to have vox , but they didnt get recorded , so i just played ‘whatever’ over it !!!
i’m moving to perth next year !!!

I wasn’t sure where you gonna go with Whatever…. first I thought some atmospheric 80s, then maybe Rob Zombie. Turned out completely different, cool.
I found the vocals on Robot Rebellion a bit distracting. Seemed to far out of the mix.

Apols on my part. I usually log in when it’s too late to play clips without waking the family. I intend to pick a nice afternoon and try everyone’s clips here someday soon.
