GNW Coverage of AMAC 2006

GuitarSite just got back from the Australian Music Association Convention held on the (usually sunny) Gold Coast. Not much of a trip for us being only and hour down the road, but it was great to catch up with those from further away. It certainly wasn't beach weather, which no doubt disapointed the southerners.

There were some awesome performances on show from Mark Williams and Bruce Reid of Dragon and at the awards dinner Jack Jones held the attention of about 600 people, likewise did Bill Brozman. Pretty impressive for a crowd of music professionals. Phil Emmanuel, Steve Flack, Michael Smith and Seymour Duncan also played a gig and Peter Garrett whilst not singing, did speak at the event.

We've come back with plenty of pictures of local guitars you might not have seen from the likes of Maton and Ayers Music. Plus a whole lot of shots of products from the folks at Line 6, ESP, Gibson, Framus, Ovation, Floyd Rose, Fender and who knows who else.

I'll do my best to match pictures with names over time, but for the time being if you want to know the models of any that aren't labled, give me a shout. Let's get into them.

- Michael
