    – Press Release

Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) announced the immediate availability of a unique iTunes download of the sheet music and guitar tablature for “Blooze” from Peter Frampton’s new album, “Fingerprints.” This is the first time content of this nature has been made available to fans and the free .pdf download is available exclusively to all who purchase the new album from the iTunes Store ( http://www.itunes.com ).

“For a highly respected guitar player, such as Peter Frampton, who continues to influence new generations of musicians, his first instrumental album was the perfect opportunity for us to offer fans access to this outstanding content,” said Bruce Resnikoff, President, UMe. “After we had the song transcribed, we showed it to Peter and he absolutely loved it.”

“This is the first time such a bonus download has been offered to fans via the iTunes Store,” added Jay Gilbert, Vice-President New Media, UMe. “We are committed to making more of these exclusive downloads available in the future.”

The 14 tracks on “Fingerprints” span a range of styles — from R&B to the rootsy to the rockin’. Along with a cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” (an iTunes pre-release exclusive available beginning August 15), other tracks include “Cornerstones,” “My Cup Of Tea,” “Double Nickels,” “Boot It Up,” “Blowin’ Smoke” and the Django Reinhardt-styled “Souvenirs De Nos Pères.”

When he was just 16 years old, Frampton was hailed as a guitar prodigy. Superstardom and record-breaking albums followed. Today he remains one of rock’s most well-regarded and critically acclaimed players. In 2000 he earned a Best Rock Instrumental Performance Grammy nomination. Earlier this year Martin Guitars unveiled its Martin D-42 “Frampton’s Camel” Signature Edition. Also introduced this year was the Gibson Peter Frampton Les Paul Special electric guitar. Frampton worked closely with the Gibson Custom Shop staff to develop this model, which was based on his original 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior.
