65/50's installed in my 86 JCM800? Or leave the EL34's...
Submitted by electricmage on Mon, 02/07/2005 - 06:29.
I think the EL34's sounds a little thin. I heard that the 6550's put out a thicker tone. A friend told me that installing the 65/50's would F%$# up my JCM800 and lower the value. Is this true?
why dont you try posting your question on the marshall amp forum??
I dont know the answer to your question so i guess that makes me a dumb nut? but at least ive got the gumption to post in the right place. I'll even make it easier for you, heres the URL
http://www.marshallampforum.com/forum/
see, its not that difficult is it? and by the way, this forum is called 'General Guitar' , in case you had'nt noticed.
First of all dipshit. The other forum thta was used previously has posts about all other kinds of goodies. Which led me to believe that it was the same forum, only altered. Now you dumb asshole, fuck you. You are no dwight listmayer. Dwight would know about switching tubes. If you don't have any input, then shut the fuck up.
'The same, only altered'
Just about says it all, go back to school, Dwight does not live here anymore.

I'VE GOT THE POWER!
OK, I've snapped out of it. This question can be answered. Look to the charmingly titled "This board sucks" thread for a re-direct, or ask here. I have my own ops (EL34 usually better, 6550 may suit particular tastes, doesn't alter value and is reversible). Try some Coolio, though.
BINGO, somebody finally rang the bell.
For the next round? :D
im all punched out on this one
Yep, sensible enquiries only. References to dumb Limeys with no knowledge of Marshalls... I think I'll pass, too. The time diff can be a bit of a hit. BTW, done the dentist today elec-im. I'm as clean as a Hiwatt with a MosFet retro-fit, but I've been told to stop smoking. Gaah. :(
do we actualy have dentists in the UK?? i thought we just let our teeth go yellow and goofy and twisted and chipped, and then let them fall out, i think that guy gets all his foreign (foreign = anywhere outside of the US)
world culture from his weekly dose of 'The Simpsons'
