    – Press Release

Grafton Electronics, under license from Dan Armstrong Enterprises, has announced the reintroduction of Armstrong Sound Modifiers. Out of production for over twenty years, Grafton Electronics has brought these revolutionary and timeless units back to musicians around the world. Carefully hand built in the United States to authentic 1975 Dan Armstrong specifications, this series of effects units is now available through http://www.danarmstrongeffects.com

“I’m excited to see my father’s designs back into production. These intense yet simple modifiers have been in continuous use by respected musicians since the 1970s and I think it’s great that they are available again, especially with the new adaptor and felt protector.” …Kent Armstrong

Originally designed for electric guitars, these simple, compact and rugged accessories can plug into any electrified instrument. The series, comprised of six individual units, includes Dan’s Blue Clipper (an excellent fuzz tone with incredible sustain), Red Ranger (a combination signal booster and tone modifier), Purple Peaker (an equalizer which introduces one or two peaks into the frequency response at specially selected frequencies), Yellow Humper (an equalizer), Green Ringer (a distortion device that produces ring modulation-type effects), and Orange Squeezer (a signal compressor that provides some 30db of clean, undistorted sustain).

Famous guitarists who have used Armstrong Sound Modifiers include Mark Knopfler, Elliot Randall, David Lindley, Curt Cobain, Ry Cooder and Mark Mothersbaugh.

“What makes these devices so special,” says Chuck Wojack, Founder, Grafton Electronics, “is that the sound is even better than those manufactured in the ‘70s. Every component we use is a modern replacement to the versions Dan Armstrong used in the originals. These boxes are producing a better, more consistent sound.”

Each unit is built in a sturdy, attractive aluminum housing with only the finest quality components. Powered by a single 9-volt battery, now included with your purchase.
