Bloody hell. I’ve been checking it the last 3 days. It’s unbelievable. I have a Line 6 Guitar Port, but there’s no comparison.

NM I think I figured it out. I guess I needed to download UTorrent.

Not to be a pest but what do you use to open this type of file? I’ve never used bittorrent before.

All my softies are legit, but this is a good try out.

PS. The RME is a great investment. Had mine now for 4 years. Can still sell it for what I paid.

Thanks guys, I currently use an Tascam 1884 but am about to order an RME fireface 800. Yes demoing a crack is a good idea seeing as though once you purchase software you can’t return it. But find a good crack is always a challenge.

Dark Star mate. You’ll need a good a/d interface. I use an RME Multiface with XP SP2. Latency is 0.3ms which makes it even good for doing midi drums. But as you said, ideally we want to record a clean signal and then change the amps and effects later. Guitar Rig is the business for me mate. Good luck. Check out a crack download, but don’t forget to buy it if you like. Like I did…. Err.. 😳

If you want to use the package for teaching yourself guitar and some recording to PC, then i would go for the GuitarPro.

Ideally I would like to be able to record any guitar parts in to my system clean since my guitar skills are severely lacking to put it mildly. But I wanted to make sure the program can give me descent distortions for the type of music we do. Tho it is just for writing and demo purposes. But bad sound doesn’t inspire creativity either.

      I love guitatport.
      I love Pod XT.
i wouldn’t use either of them through an amp with the band in rehearsal or live, but in front of a PC or with headphones on, or for recording they sound excellent.

[quote=”youngwasp”]Guitar Rig? Are you serious? There was a major fault identified with that and they were all recalled – do not plug it in again, pack it carefully and return it immediately.

Where did you hear about that?
Can you post up a URL with the return/recall details?
Doesn’t appear to be anything posted up on their website.

Yes, that’s true. It’s the demo I’m running without the floorboard. I go into a Joe Meek VC3 then into an RME Multiface. Latency 3ms.

I believe if you have the floorboard then it should work with any modern computer, as there’s a dedicated sound card in the floorboard.

I can’t speak for Guitar Rig, but I was pretty impressed with Amplitube and IK’s other software. I’ve got a feeling Guitar Rig would only top that.

Edit: Just to add it still needs to be matched with good hardware.
