Beckham’s manager is Simon Fuller; the Spice Girls manufacturer. When Posh went crawling back to Fuller (the SGs sacked him at their peak because he was taking 20% off their Pepsi etc deals) he took her back, but only if he got Becks as well. Seeing as David’s previous managment company had supplied him with a leg-spreading PA, Posh had a bit of leverage on him.

Can’t have been a bad move, though. £120+ million for a dead-ball specialist entering his 30s? Only in California…
