I am about to change at least the neck pickup on my yamaha sg600. I am looking for a not to hot pickup that works with my not to hot amp, a Budda 18watt. I am a jazz player and need to explore the jazz/blues-distortion you can control with the force of your attack. I tried a Gibson with mini-hums on it the other day, and it sounded great with my amp. Problem is, those pickups does not fit to my guitar as they become to small. THose are the advice I got recently: Seymour Duncans Seth Lover SH-55 or GFS Power Rails. As there are numerous accounts of the SH-55 I do not find any reviews of the Power Rails. Has anyone here tried them?

Surprisingly, GFS pickups Power Rails are not reviewed; although several of their pups are on Harmony Central, including the miniPAF. Perhaps looking through those reviews will give you some rough idea of the Power Rail’s capabilities.
