Damn, i missed that one..

It gets better. I had to type “Girls gone wild” into a search engine. I assume you’ll back me up if my employers drag me into disciplinary proceedings?

It’s worse than that. I had to look up GGW on Wikipedia to find out what you were talking about.

One interesting thing I read is that GGW‘s maker was busted by trading standards for sending and billing DVDs to people who hadn’t asked for them. That must have led to some comical scenes as the weekend mail was opened at, say, the vicarage.

You’ve hit an all new low 1b when Property Ladder is on par with Girls Gone Wild.

And I hear I was holding back saying that Sarah Beeny sports two large bumps, not just one.
Location’s Sarah Beeny has sported a large bump in at least one series.

You can’t claim to seriously hanker after these babe-magnates if you don’t know the basics. We’ll just have to settle for drunk girls in the bar wearing beer-goggles, chaps :)
If you have to endure property programs like i do ( my wife has most of them on ‘series record’ on our hi-tech digi box ) then your mind can often wander from Granite worktops to a couple of the more prominent features of the program, and Sarah Beeny has a couple of those.

You poms get awfully trashed over here. Embarasment to the Queen.

Trying to understand a sober pommy accent is hard enough.

Location’s Kirstie Allsop and Phil Spencer are an item. Property Ladder’s Sarah Beeny has sported a large bump in at least one series.

yeah Kirsty Something. The blonde on property ladder would drink you under the table. If she’s the same blonde boozer I’m thinking of.

I have promised that I won’t be in my mind-numbing, soul-crushing bank job by the end of year.

And I’m hoping to ride Mt. Snowdon when the summer bike curfew is lifted. And one of the charity rides, I fancy London-Brighton but Manchester-Blackpool is on my doorstep…

Apart from world peace, fluffy furry animals having comfortable lifetyles etc? 🙂

I suppose my main wish for 2008 is that I can afford the upgrading being done to my Jazz bass (after an incredibly expensive month of car problems). Steve, a guitar tech in Sale (Manchester) is working on my Fenix. A nice copy of the Jazz (they had the Korean Squier contract) that has been not-too-badly defretted by the previous owner. The only downsides of my fretted Fenix are the usual, hopeless jack socket and (as usual with Fender copies) the bridge pup doesn’t really sound like the real thing.

So, it’s having a Fender Vintage 60s pup in the bridge and a fretless seemed the ideal candidate for my Graphtech Ghost piezo saddles with buffering preamp. Clever little preamp – plug in a stereo cable and it’ll send the magnetic and piezo signals to separate amps or plug in a mono cable and it’ll automatically blend the two. This requires a stereo jack, thus junking the crummy Korean mono fitted as standard.

The only problem (apart from solder work) is that, despite what Graphtech say, there’s almost no chance that it all fits – including the 9V battery – in the Jazz’s tiny control cavity. A battery compartment is being routed into the back. This adds to the cost.

Plenty of room in a Precision or a Strat (not sure about a Tele) so, once I get it back, I’ll report in on how good it is or isn’t. I’m told that the Ghost does about the most realistic acoustic sound you can get from an electric solid. As Steve informs me that the truss rod on my proper acoustic bass is seized, I’m going to need it.
