I need some help here. My high E string is about a milimeter below other strings and is making really wierd (but cool) metallicy sounds when I strum it. The only culprit I see is the screws on the string/spring/thing are really up. FYI it’s a new string (10gauge), if that helps. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! roll

I figured out what the problem is. The dude who replaced the string put it on with the pickup thingy upside down. But Thanks anyway

sounds like you need to even out the action of the strings, the metallicy sound is fret buzz because the string is vibrating against the frets.

have a look at the screws for the e string at the bridge you should be able to use an alan key to raise it up a bit.

      hope i helped
