Hernandis Guitars
Submitted by bmurdy on Mon, 04/14/2008 - 20:34.
Recently my father passed away and I found under his bed a very nice guitar. On the lable inside I could make out "Hernandis" and then the dated Nov. 1970 Grade #1a. I would like to sell this guitar but need to know what it is worth. Could some member email me @ [email protected] and let me know if what I have is worth anything, and what sites I might put it on for sale.
Thank you.

Here's one on ebay, mind you it's a Grade 2... and wanting a price and getting it are two different things (check out the optimistic ebayers thread)

Note the 3rd and 4th review down on this link below are for a Grade 1a and quite a difference if price paid as well

Might be worth contacting the reviewer at the top of the Harmony Central page for more info but I'd be careful if he said "yeah, I'll give you $200 for your guitar" - seems like people are willing to pay for them even if they are assembled in Japan. If you list it on eBay with all the details on the label, no reserve and a low start price it will find its worth and you can't be responsible for what people bid.
I know from experience that very few items, if listed properly, sell for a ridiculous bargain on eBay these days so you should do well from it.
