Sorry for my English (google translate sucks) i live in argentina 🙂
I have a Squier II stratocaster made in korea, model “M” but when I enter the oficial page or wipedia not displayed information. and also said that “M” stands for mexico.
Now I have no photos, but I suppose that later upload a photo.

I would like to buy a SQUIER Stratocaster serial number: ICS14265211. Crafted in Indonesia, but i’ like to know the model, Affinity, Classic vibe…. is it possible?
Thanks for your answers

I have a Korean squier with the “M” serial number as well.
See image: http://ronaldjongveld.nl.picturepush.com/album/37253

I mailed Fender and the reply was:
M could be a early 90’s model, but generally our Korean models do not have a M before the SN#

Not a very convincing answer but at least it is something.
It appears to be very rare so it must be very valuable and very expensive 😉
Yes, the Squier II guitars were made in Korea in the early 1990s (previously, all Squiers were Japanese. Post-1990 Japanese Squiers became “Silver Series”). I do not know what the “Model M” means but it has nothing to do with Mexico (possibly a maple fingerboard?). Mexico has never made Squiers; only Fenders. They have the serial number beginning “MN”, not “M”.

In my poor Spanish, su guitarra fue fabricada en Corea, no México
Thx for your reply.
I leave a picture for more details
