emg 85 in gib lp classic
Submitted by Megadeth45 on Mon, 05/30/2005 - 05:42.
Thinkin bout puttin in an emg 85 in the bridge position of a gibson LP classic. anyone done this? any ideas/suggestions for the neck Pup, thinkin bout leavin the gibson one in there. The original 500T is nice, a bit too full sounding and not enough metal chunk for me.
have you tried the Seymour Duncan 'Full Shred' TB-10 ? looks like it has the cut metal chunk you want, it also kinda looks like the open coil black 500-t too, personaly i like those ceramic gibson pups, my friend has a LP classic and he gets a great sound from his, but he doesnt play metal, have a look at the duncan website for the TB-10's.
Rooster posted this on apr 28, maybe worth a try.
'Dave Mustaine uses Seymour Duncans, JB in the bridge and Jazz in the neck. He gets great tone with massive crunch when needed. T take a look at em''
Thanks for the advice, ill check these Pickups out.
