Short scale strings that fit on a Höfner?

I picked up a used Club CT in perfect condition and a beautiful transparent red. I went to put on a set of flatwound D'Adarios but they have big fat rings that won't fit on the Höfner. Not wanting to keep going through packets can anyone recommend strings that fit? I'd love to hear this bass without the factory junk strings.

I would have thought Rotosound Swing Bass '66 strings would do the trick on a Hofner - but I'd suggest asking them first just in case.

They'er about $26 for a medium scale set which from memory is what you need on a CT - but if I'm wrong (I usually am) then they have short scale as well.
