The three parlor sized guitars feature designs that Washburn used on actual parlor guitars from 100 years ago. The new instruments add to their already expansive selection of acoustic guitars.

All 3 parlor guitars come with solid cedar tops supported by quarter sawn scalloped sitka spruce bracing. The wood used on the back and sides differ depending on the model, but the overall specs and measurements remain the same.

The neck is carved from mahogany and is topped by a rosewood fingerboard with 4mm nut. Traditional 24.75″ scale length is followed to ensure that the guitar’s look and playability closely matches vintage parlor guitars.

Other common features found on the three new guitars include abalone rosette, standard Washburn rosewood bridge, and gold open gear tuners.

The new Washburn WP26SNS is the flagship model, featuring beautiful rosewood back and sides that complement the solid cedar top nicely. Being the premium model, it comes with highly stylized pearl fingerboard inlays, which visually distinguishes it from the other two. The WP26SNS parlor guitar is retailing for $712.90.

Next in line is the Washburn WP21SNS, carrying the same specs as the flagship model without the fancy fingerboard inlays. It has the same rosewood back and sides so the sound would be the same. Standard pearl dot inlays are used on the fingerboard to give it a more affordable price tag of $622.90.

The most affordable guitar in this group is the new Washburn WP11SNS, featuring the use of more affordable mahogany back and sides, resulting in a slightly more focused, articulate tone. It also features basic pearl dot fingerboard inlays to keep price as low as possible. This guitar retails for $533.90.

Washburn summaries: “These specs produce a nicely balanced tone perfect for fingerpicking and singer/song writers. The clarity of the parlor sized body is especially suited to recording and mic’d performance.”

The new parlor guitars will be put on display at booth 5740 alongside US Music Corp.’s other NAMM releases. For further details, visit Washburn.

Washburn’s R320SWRK has also made it into the list of Best Parlor Guitars Under $1,000.
