Gretsch Rancher Acoustic Guitars

Gretsch have reintroduced their Rancher Acoustic Guitars which first appeared in the early ’50s, each bearing a unique triangular sound hole.

A total of 5 new acoustic guitars were unveiled at the recent NAMM 2012, bearing different shapes and sizes and specializing in various tonal flavors, while retaining the distinctive Gretsch vibe and distinctive style and sound hole. These mid priced acoustic guitars from Gretsch bear their trademarks on their elegant looking pickguards.

This is the traditional acoustic guitar among the Rancher group. The G5034 Rancher Dreadnought delivers full-size, full-on Rancher sound with the feel and vibe of classic Gretsch styling. Other features include solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing, laminated mahogany back and sides and a neat looking Neo-classic thumbnail inlays. MSRP: $525.

This is a medium sized acoustic guitar with a rounded classic orchestra style body. It features the basic essentials, including a laminated spruce top with scalloped X bracing, laminated mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard and 21 frets. MSRP: $400.

Don’t let the Junior label full you, this is a full featured electric acoustic guitar. It is equipped with a Sonicore under-saddle pickup and Isys+ preamp system from Fishman. Other features include laminated spruce top with X bracing, laminated mahogany back and sides and the unique Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays.

This is the most affordable and the smallest among the Ranchers. Although smaller, it still gives out the same articulate guitar tone as its Rancher brothers. Essential features include a laminated spruce top with scalloped X bracing, mahogany neck with traditional 20 fret rosewood fingerboard and laminated mahogany back and sides. MSRP: $360.

This is the big daddy of the Rancher acoustic guitar family, sporting a full jumbo body size and complemented by its undersaddle pickup and onboard Fishman electronics. It features a solid spruce top with scalloped X bracing, flame maple sides and back, mahogany neck and the cool looking Neo-Classic thumnail inlays.
