As the name implies, this guitar is co-designed by the popular firearm and ammunitions manufacturer Remington, aimed at fans of their products who also play guitars.

If you’re thinking gun and guitar hybrid, then you should know upfront that this is not a guitar that can double as a gun, it’s just co-designed and inspired by America’s oldest gun and ammunition manufacturer.

The story goes that this collaboration stemmed from a viral video that features the song title, “An American With a Remington”, which was performed by Boulder Creek artist Larry Gatlin. People from Remington noticed and contacted Boulder Creek CEO Jeff Strametz. After initial talks, the two companies entered into a licensing agreement that resulted in the new Remington line of guitars.

Remington Outdoors Company Director of Media & Partnerships Gary Keffer said, “Guitars are a natural fit for Remington, because so many outdoorsmen and women are musicians and music lovers. I can picture sitting around the campfire after a day in the field and happily strumming a Remington guitar or listening to one of my campmates play for us.”

Mr Strametz added, “We are excited to be working with Remington and bringing music to their audience of outdoor enthusiasts.”

The new Remington Stagemaster dreadnought is part of the initial Remington lineup that also includes four other models, namely the Lodge (jumbo body), Campfire (mini body) and Cabin which is the smallest of the group. All of them will feature Boulder Creeks patented “Suspended Bracing System” along with their side ported sound hole design.

Their bracing system is unique in that it utilizes aluminum tone bars as support, allowing the top to vibrate but not flex under string tension. This removes the need for traditional x-bracing and reduces the contacts needed to support the top. The side ported sound hole makes this guitar look unique, and at the same time projects the sound properly to the guitarist’s ear.
