Orange Amps OR50H and OR15H

With NAMM 2012 around the corner, Orange Amplification brings back the limited edition OR50H amp and launches an alternative 15watt version, the OR15H.

Orange OR50H

Orange Amps launched the first “Pics Only” amps in 1972. It was labeled as such because of its use of pictures instead of text on the front panel of the amp.

The Limited Edition OR50H was then created in 2008 to pay homage to the Pics Only vintage amps. It used the same construction method and cosmetics, providing the same blues and rock tones as well as great orange vibes that the Pics Only amps were known for.

And now, just before NAMM 2012, Orange unveiled the return of the OR50H. It features a traditional single channel with a three stage gain section, just like the limited edition OR50H of 2008. Its most notable feature is the HF Drive control, which is essentially two controls in one. As you turn the control clockwise you will hear the power amp presence increase while adding an extra dimension of power amp gain. This feature together with its foot-switchable master volume gives the OR50H its unqiue tone versatility.
