The VTX300 Neodymium joins the VOX Valvetronix Pro flagship Series.
In the age of high definition audio modeling, mobile emulated amps and direct to PA setups, some would wonder why guitar players still prefer to carry around big amps. However as Vox will attest, amps will not be going out of style anytime soon and for obvious reasons: the wall of sound it generates, the authentic tone it provides and ofcourse – that rock and roll look when it stands behind you on stage.
Vox continues the amp tradition while embracing the latest technology. The three-piece VTX300 Neodymium is a stack tube amp that provides VOX amp modeling sound, in a 300 Watt package with an expansive VC12 foot control in a modern stack design. It is based on it’s smaller “brother”, the VTX 150 Neodymium Red combo amp, with both amps featuring red “flame line” accents.
Being the flagship model of Valvetronix Pro series, the VTX300 is equipped with the next-generation EL84-driven VOX Valve Reactor, allowing for more than 44 amp models and a number of effects. The powerful amp is then paired with a matching V112-NE Extension Cabinet, giving this system the ability to let out 300 Watts of power. Both the cabinet and the amp are each equipped with a powerful and lightweight a Celestion Neodymium Magnet (VOX NeoDog) 12″ speaker. For enhanced hands-free floor control, Vox added the VC-12SV foot controller to the package.
The VTX300 Neodymium carries 44 amp models. For each amp model, the Neodymium series provides three modes – Basic, Effect, and Song – essentially producing up to 132 preset programs, voiced by experts and ready for immediate use. The Effect variation combine effects coloration to the amp tone. The Basic simply puts out the true sound of the preferred amp model, and the Song variation are patches meant to produce faithful recreations of guitar sounds used by famous guitarists on popular guitar tracks.
The VTX300 has 11 built-in effects ready for deployment, having distortions, overdrives and modulation effects. It also allows for up to four simultaneous effects to be used. The package is rounded up by the VC-12SV large-format foot controller, providing ultimate hands free utilization.
