Ibanez rounds out its SR Premium line of bass guitars with the 6-string SR1206E.
This 6-string bass offers extended range while maintaining the same SR Premium quality at a relatively affordable price.
Known for their excellence in playability, Ibanez tackled the 6 string design with playing convenience in mind. They made the SR1206E bass with what maybe the thinnest neck possible for a 6-string bass guitar.
It features the same SR Premium qualities – being made at the Ibanez Premium factory, built to the same standards as the other Basses of the line.
This bass features a 5pc Wenge/Bubinga neck bolstered with KTS Titanium Reinforcement rods on the inside. This makes the neck extra strong while maintaining a lighter and thinner profile.
The body is made of mahogany and is topped with gorgeous looking ovangkol. It is equipped with a Mono-rail IV bridge with locking saddles that allow each string to vibrate fully without interference from other strings.
Like the other premium Ibanez basses, this one is equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups which are designed to produce single coil bass tones while at the same time provide powerful low register punch. This 6-string bass also comes with EQB-IIISC 3-band EQ, Mid Frequency switch and an EQ Bypass switch which allows for a wider tonal palette.
The Ibanez SR1206E 6-string Electric Bass is being sold at online retail stores for $1249.99.
