Schecter debuts Raiden Special and Raiden Elite Basses

Schecter Guitars has debuted the Raiden Special and Raiden Elite Basses for the feature driven, price conscious player. Showcased at Winter NAMM, the Raidens are the newest edition to the brood of basses coming out of Schecter. With 34″ scale, 6-bolt necks, these babies pack a serious punch and gorgeous tops.

The Raiden Special has a basswood body and quilted maple top that will certainly give the beginning player a whole lot to show off. With the 24 X Jumbo fret Rosewood board and Maple neck, the coil tappable Schecter Super Rock pickup will keep you busy in bands of many different styles. The beautiful quilted maple top will garner your first set of groupies right out of the gate.

For the more discerning performer, the multi-laminate Maple & Walnut neck Raiden Elite 4 or 5 strings bring heat to the fire with its EMGHZ pickups designed for the aggressive sounds of today's generation. Adding fuel to it is the EMG Active 2 Band EQ w/ selectable frequencies, giving you the ability to shape and define your sound perfectly. A Master Blend improves on the versatility paired with its Master Volume.

Both basses are equipped with Schecter's top load or string thru body-designed bridge; allowing for the tension required of drop-tuned players. Black Chrome hardware courtesy of Schecter and cr&egreve; me dot inlays round out the selections. Get the Raiden Special 4 for ($499) MSRP, available in Black Cherry (BCH). The Raiden Elite 4 hits at ($779) or pick up the Raiden Elite 5 for ($849) in Tobacco Sunburst (TSB) and Black Cherry (BCH).
