New Finishes for Warwick RockBass Alien

Warwick announces the availability of black and sunburst finishes for the RockBass Alien Deluxe and Standard.

The new finish options go hand in hand with the relaunching of their newly rebuilt website.

Warwick grants the two most requested finishes for the RockBass Alien model – high polish black and classic vintage sunburst.

The black finish will cater to rock fans, while the vintage sunburst finish is meant to grab the attention of those seeking a classic looking acoustic bass.

The RockBass Alien Deluxe and Standard are budget versions of Warwick’s high-end Alien model. The Standard model are available in 4, 5 string versions while the Deluxe has a an added 6-string model. They all follow the same basic design with stripped down aesthetics and featuring more cost effective materials.

Rightly named Alien, this acoustic bass sports an alien-like design, featuring an asymmetrical soundhole and bridge. In contrast to its unique look, the instruments woody acoustic tone and playability is designed to be familiar.

Warwick RockBass Alien

The RockBass Alien Standard is the most affordable model, having a laminated spruce top and laminated Agathis back and sides. For capturing its sound, the Standard model comes with Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup and Sonitone preamp. The RockBass Alien Deluxe costs a bit more, having the same laminated spruce top but supported by laminated bubinga back and sides. The pickup/preamp system is also different for the Deluxe model, it has a Fishman Presys system for the 4 and 5 string models while the 6 string model comes equipped with a Prefix PlusT.

You also have the option to go fretless, which means that your neck will have a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. The regular fretted version features a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extra high jumbo nickel silver frets. Other features include Warwick angled machine heads, set-neck construction, rosewood bridge and bone saddles.

The Warwick RockBass Alien Standard 4-string is listed at 589 €, while the 5-string version is priced at 649 €. The list price for the RockBass Alien Deluxe version ranges from 879 € to 1,119 €, depending on the number of strings you prefer. For the complete specification and other details, visit Warwick.
