Fans around the world will rejoice because finally, Fender has introduced the Kurt Cobain Jaguar for guitar players’ consumption.
This guitar was modeled in detail after the 1965 Fender Jaguar Kurt Cobain wielded as the front man of the phenomenon Nirvana.
The craftsmen at Fender aimed to faithfully reproduce Kurt Cobain’s Fender Jaguar, with it’s battle-worn details, including its dual humbucking pickups, worn finish, and unorthodox controls which were already in added in place before Kurt acquired the guitar, back in the summer of 1991.
The Kurt Cobain Fender Jaguar features an alder body with Road Worn aged finish along with hardware treatment for that battle worn look. It has a headstock shaped the same way as a Strat with a spaghetti logo style from the 1950’s. It has a pearloid dot markers on it’s bound fretboard.
The neck pickup is a DiMarzio humbucking DP103 PAF 36th Anniversary, while the bridge pickup is a DP100 Super Distortion. It sports a three position toggle switch, triple knurled “chrome dome” knob with a volume-volume-tone configuration. Finally it has a black chrome Adjusto-Matic bridge partnered with Gotoh sealed tuners. Left handers were not left out because it is available for both right and left handed Kurt Cobain look a like guitar player.
Fender also added in a black textured vinyl hard-shell case with an exclusive Fender Kurt Cobain book as a bonus. It features photos and commentary by Charles Peterson and a special interview with Earnie Bailey, the guitar tech of Nirvana.
