This new instrument is enhanced to provide advanced guitar features while retaining Cort’s reasonable pricing.

This guitar starts with mahogany wood carved into a super-strat style body. Cort was able to add their own design elements into this familiar rock guitar shape by emphasizing the curves and the edges.

To make the neck suitable for hardcore players, Cort used Canadian hard rock maple wood. It has a scale length of 25.5″ and is topped by a rosewood finger board. There are 24 jumbo frets to play with, and it features custom EVL inlays guide your hand across the fretboard.

Not straying from the tried and tested high-gain configuration, this guitar comes with EMG 81 & 85 Active pickups. These pickups are the go-to choice for metal players that are looking for high-gain friendly tones and sustain. Pickup switching is straightforward, featuring a three-way pickup selector, while the knobs allow you to control the master volume and master tone.

Another feature that the EVL brings to the X7 series is its Floyd Rose Special Tremolo, a popular modification added into guitars that require good tremolo action while maintaining tuning stability.

Most of the hardware on this guitar follow a black nickel theme, which matches the overall menacing look of the instrument. The guitar is now retailing worldwide with a list price of $750. For more information, you can head over to Cort Guitars.
