Fender introduces the Classic Player Triple Tele, a unique Telecaster with 3 slanted single-coil pickups.

This unique pickup configuration is the brainchild of Custom Shop Master Builder Todd Krause, resulting in a classic looking instrument with a distinct modern sound.
The most distinct feature of the Classic Player Triple Tele is its the use of three “Nocaster” single-coil bridge pickups for all three positions. This will give this guitar a different voice when compared to conventional Telecasters in the market.
While the pickups are the different, the body configuration does not stray far from traditional Tele builds. With a single-cutaway alder body wrapped in black finish, and a 3-ply black pickguard.
The one-piece neck and fingerboard is made from maple, carved into a thick “C” profile. Standard scale length of 25.5″ and nut width of 1.650″ is followed in building the neck and fretboard. It has 21 vintage-style frets and a fretboard radius of 9.5″, while black dot inlays serve as fret markers in keeping with the guitar’s overall black theme.
Note that the three Nocaster bridge pickups used on this guitar are Custom Shop made, which is quite a steal considering the sub $800 dollar price tag of the guitar. This pickup is known for its extremely quiet operation and will change the tone of this telecaster considerably. I can only imagine how the neck and middle pickup will sound while having a high output alnico 3 magnet pickup in its place.
The pickups are then routed to a 5-position blade pickup selector, while two knurled flat-top knobs will let you control the master tone and master volume of your guitar signal.
To keep the strings in place and in tune, the guitar comes with a 3-saddle American Vintage “Strings-Through-Body” Tele bridge with Brass saddles and vintage-style tuning machines. All the metal hardware are chrome finished. Completing the features of the guitar is the special neckplate with “Custom Shop Designed” graphic.
