Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Swirl

Fender introduces the Standard Stratocaster HSS Swirl, where each guitar will come with a unique random swirl finish.

This new finish expands the visual options of their popular models, and what’s cool about it is that no two finishes will be alike.

The swirl look follows Fender’s current drive to offer more color and finish options, coming out after they released the Satin series.

Aside from the Standard Stratocaster HSS Swirl, this new finish is also available for the Standard Telecaster model. More models will probably come with this unique look soon, depending on the success of these two guitars.

This guitar comes with the typical standard Strat wood combination, featuring an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck. It follows the same shape and contour as other Strats, the major differnce however is the random swirl finish – where no two guitars will have the same look. To achieve this, the body undergoes a unique random finishing process that gives each guitar a one-of-a-kind look, much like a fingerprint. This means that each Swirl Strat coming out of production are unique, and can be easily personalized.

A byproduct of the Strat’s success is its generic look. Guitarists have long been experimenting and playing around with the look of their Strats, to make their instrument look unique and special. This special color scheme aims to appeal to these guitarists, those that want a more personable instrument.

This Strat comes with a modern HSS pickup configuration, which means having a humbucker on the bridge and two single-coils for the middle and neck pickups. This gives you fatter and distortion friendly tones when on the bridge pickup, while retaining the classic “quack” on the neck and middle positions.

Other features include a 9.5″ radius rosewood fretboard, 21 medium jumbo frets, five way switching, vintage-style six-saddle synchronized tremolo bridge, a three-ply black-white-black pickguard and black plastic knobs.

The Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Swirl is currently being sold online for $550. Visit Fender for more information.
