This new guitar is built with the help of one of the hardest working artists today, a known solo artist that having worked with bands like Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, Six:A.M and Beautiful creatures.

Gibson says, “The DJ Ashba Signature Les Paul is a guitar that brings it all to the party for looks, playing feel, and utterly scorching tone.“. It is easily distinguishable with its black stripe and unique graphic on a satin Charcoal Gray finish.

The guitar starts off with the usual combination of carved maple top and weight-relieved mahogany body. But instead of the usual mahogany neck, this guitar’s glued-in neck is made from maple. The artist approved neck profile measures .800″ at the 1st fret and .875″ at the 12th.

The DJ Ashba Les Paul has a 22-fret Rosewood fretboard with specs that include 12″ radius and 1.695″ nut width. The fingerboard has a black binding and features a Tektoid nut. The headstock stays true to classic designs, and features a black bell truss rod cover with hot stamped Ashba label.

Gibson equipped the guitar with Ashba’s preferred humbucking pickups, a Seymour Duncan APH-1 on the neck and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 on the bridge. The neck pickup is described as having a warm rich tone, while the bridge pickup is the archetype hot-rodded humbucker that offers hotter output.

The two pickups are wired to a three-way pickup selector that has been moved to the lower part of the body beside the knobs. Instead of the usual four knobs, the guitar is limited to three knobs that let you control the master volume and tone of each humbucker. The tone knobs utilize different cap values as preferred by DJ Ashba himself.

Hidden inside the guitar’s classic body is a modified wiring that lets you do more than the typical tone shaping and pickup switching. The switch where the 3-way pickup selector usually sits is converted to a kill switch.

Other features of the guitar include chrome Grover Kidney tuners, Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece. The guitar is bundled with a silver hardshell case with Ashba and Gibson logos.

The MSRP for the new DJ Ashba Signature Les Paul is $2,799. Visit Gibson for further details.
