Gretsch introduces the G7593T Billy Duffy Falcon Signature Guitar, a ’70s era silver themed variation of the White Falcon.

The guitar is based on Billy Duffy’s old White Falcon, with some changes in aesthetics and pickups.

Duffy is known for taking out his White Falcon as the guitarist for British rock icon The Cult.

Seeing a big white Gretsch in rock concerts is quite unusual, and is a fresh contrast to the usual edgy guitar shapes that dominates the rock scene.

His playing helped turn the Gretsch brand into viable rock guitars, and for his loyalty and talent, Gretsch works with him to create his very own signature guitar.

The G7593T looks very much like the other Falcons but with some distinctive features to separate it from the “Falcon” flock. Most notable is its smaller V-shaped Falcon headstock, and period-correct ’70s Baldwin era body shape. The guitar’s main wood is maple, featuring an arched maple top, maple sides and arched maple back. The body is measured to have a thickness of 2.75″.

The guitar features a 22 medium jumbo fret 3-piece neck that is made of maple and walnut. It has a scale length of 25.5″ and is topped by an Ebony fingerboard.

The pickups used on this signature guitar are Custom Wound “Black Top” Filter’Tron with ’70s era adjustable metal bezels. The Bridge features Hex socket cap pole pieces, while the neck pickup comes with Fillister head machine screw pole pieces. The electronic configuration was kept simple, you can switch between the pickups via a 3-way toggle switch and you can control the volume of the guitar via its dedicated neck and bridge volume knobs, and master volume knob. Instead of having a tone knob, the guitar features a 3-position master tone switch that gives you a variety of tones.

Another eye catching distinction of the Billy Duffy Falcon is its great looking silver sparkle binding, matched by silver/chromel themed hardware. Other unique features include pinned ’70s style Adjusto-Matic bridge with ebony base, Bigsby B6CW with Wire Handle, Grover Imperial Tuners, and a chrome plated truss rod cover with Billy Duffy’s signature.
