This will serve as an outlet to showcase Orange Amps’ history, current technology and relevance to the music scene.
The gig reports will showcase the talents of Orange endorsees. Featuring unique stories about Orange amps, where and how they are being used in real situations. Orange adds: “These practical run downs give real insight into the environments the kit is being used in, the sounds people are getting out of the amps, and how the same affects can be achieved – in rehearsal, gigs or the studio.”
Aside from artist features, the blog will also regularly feature articles about getting the best out of your Orange gear. To start with, Orange technicians share tips on how to use the DIVO VT1000 Valve Tester to keep valve amps in tip top condition. They provided professional advice on what to listen for when a valve needs attention, and what to do about it when it happens. This is obviously aimed at extending the lifespan of your gear, and adding to the satisfaction you get from them.
The blog will also feature snippets of the company’s history, including the beginning of the Orange shop where artists Marc Bolan, Peter Green, Eric Clapton and Paul Kossoff all hung out. The blog will regular showcase stories like how Orange Amplification was born, and cover everything about the brand and the designs. You get the real stories straight from the horse’s mouth, with in-depth features covering the whole forty five year history of the company.
“Roadies” or guitar/amp techs will also get the spotlight, featuring stories on how they keep the ‘Valve glowing’ and the ‘speakers moving’ for great bands and musicians everywhere. The Blog kicks off with industry legend, Drew Foppe who has worked with Slipknot, The Used, Deftones and Evanescence and is currently working with Fleetwood Mac. He shares a multitude of tips and insights into how he helps everything keeping running smoothly.”
