The Sheptone Strat Harness

Sheptone are known for their range of pickups, and now they offer the Sheptone Strat Harness – a complete MOD with pickups and pots pre-installed.

Sheptone Strat Harness

The harness is a complete assembly – all you have to do is solder two wires and bolt it on to your pickguard for an instant upgrade!

It fits onto most strat-style pickguards allowing you to increase the versatility of your guitar while preserving its vintage or stock appearance.

Your strat will sound like an unmodified version when the push/pull is pushed in and the mid-range tone nob is in the center detent, however the point of modding is to get a lot more out of your guitar such as:

  • An upgraded volume potentiometer NOS Gibson 300K CGE with treble bleed circuit to retain the highs as you turn the volume down
  • The middle tone control is replaced with a specially tapered Rothstein pot with a center detent to preserve both highs and lows when changing the mid-range
  • The second tone knob is replaced with a 250K push/pull pot which lets you activate the neck pickup when in positions one and two
  • Turn on all 3 pickups by placing the selector switch in position two and the push/pull pot out
  • Orange Drop 0.047capacitor
  • Switchcraft output jack
  • Sheptone single coil pickups
  • Steel baseplate on the bridge pickup to add 15-20% more lows and mids

It’s a completely passive system, so no batteries are required.

The cost is $255 and it’s available at sheptone.com/harness.html
