Awesome-Guitars unveiled their latest pickup switch upgrade kit, MRP-T4, a solderless pickup system upgrade for the Fender Modern Player Marauder.
The T4 switch system which gives you 76 pickup tones, is incorporated into an easy to install right-hand 3-ply White Pearloid pickguard, shaped to fit seamlessly into your Marauder.
The MRP-T4 pickup switch upgrade will give you deep control over your the two humbuckers that come pre-installed on the Fender Modern Player Marauder. By manipulating the pickup coils and utilizing its tone shaping circuitry, this pickup upgrade will let you reproduce various tones that normally only come from other guitar models. It is meant to turn your guitar into a versatile instrument that can tackle any type of music.
To get the job done, it gives you two groups of three mini switches. One group controls two of the pickup coils, letting you turn each one on and off either in normal phase or in reverse phase. The switches will also let you decide on whether the pickup coils are in parallel or series. Switching them to series creates compound/humbucker metal tones. The other switches allow you to control the pickup coils of the other humbucker in much the same way. Via controlling the various switches, you get to produce various tones that are simply beyond the reach of the traditional pickup system wiring found in a Fender Modern Player Marauder.
According to Amazing Musical Instruments, it will only take you about thirty minutes to connect your pickup wires to the solderless terminal strip following the downloaded Installation Instructions, and after that, they guarantee that an alternate tone dimension will instantly open up to you.
