MCB-T2 Pickup Switch Upgrade for Peavey Raptor Plus

Awesome-Guitars introduce the MCB-T2 Pickup Switch Upgrade, adds 35 pickup tones to a Peavey Raptor Plus.

MCB-T2 Pickup Switch Upgrade

This easy to install upgrade is meant to transform affordable Peavey Raptor Plus guitars into a multi-faceted instrument.

After offering upgrade options for popular guitars like Strats and Teles, Awesome-Guitars decided to provide the same tone expansion for low-end guitars, of which they chose the Peavey Raptor Plus.

By replacing the pickguard assembly with the MCB-T2, you get seven times more pickup tones that the standard five way pickup switch that the guitar comes with. This upgrade provides tones that mimic the sound and response of various popular electric guitars, thus it greatly improves the value and versatility of the humble Raptor Plus.

The upgrade is built into the pickguard, which you can easily install on a Peavey Raptor Plus, or other instruments with similar body design. It is designed to fit the intended instrument perfectly, without any need for body routing or soldering. To install, all you need are wire cutters, wire strippers, small pliers and a small phillips screwdriver and a straight slot screw driver.

The MCB-T2 comes with Awesome-Guitars’ T3-switch built into a pickguard with HSS configuration. It comes with a single volume and tone control, and its unique pickup switching system. Installation will take about 30 minutes, including the removal of the existing pickguard, attaching the upgrade and reconnecting the pickup wires to the solderless terminal strip. Note that this pickup system only works with passive pickups, so if you have replaced your pickups with active ones, this will not work.

The MCB-T2 Pickup Switch Upgrade is currently retailing for $149.99. To order and for more information, you can head over to Awesome-Guitars.
