Ozzy Osbourne may find it difficult to string a coherent sentence together these days, but he certainly hasn’t lost his creative drive.

The Dean ML that he painted has previously only been exhibited at the Museo De La Ciudad De Mexico, and now it will go on display in the USA for the first time as part of the Six-String Masterpieces exhibition.

Okay, so Ozzy’s artwork isn’t all that impressive, but the motivation behind the exhibition is certainly worthwhile, and there are a long list of famous guitarists who’s work will be on display also.

The lineup will include works from Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Kerry King of Slayer, Les Claypool, Bret Michaels, art superstars Alex Grey, Mark Ryden and Ryan McGinness, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, Mark Dean Veca, Erik Foss, Jon Davis & Munky of KORN, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, video director Dean Karr, pop surrealist Chris Mars, Shawn Barber, legendary tattoo artists Aaron Cain and Filip Leu and many more.

Six-String Masterpieces has so far managed to raise over $200,000. It’s purpose is to raise awareness and support for music education while promoting an anti-violence message with its dedication to one of rock music’s most beloved guitar players, Dimebag Darrell Abbott.

All proceeds go to benefit LITTLE KIDS ROCK, one of America’s top music education charities.

Six-String Masterpieces debuted at the 2006 NAMM Convention in Anaheim, CA and toured throughout the U.S. in 2006 and 2007. The exhibit was a popular feature of the 2006 Ozzfest and Family Values Tours with several thousands concert goers per day lining up to see the guitars. it was featured on MTV’s Headbangers Ball and was the subject of a special issue of Guitar Player Magazine dedicated entirely to this groundbreaking exhibit.

The exhibit will run at the Mesa Arts Center Museum from Sept. 9th to December 4th 2011.
