Scorched Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster sold for half a million dollars

A scorched Fender Stratocaster famously set alight by Jimi Hendrix during a concert at London's Astoria in March 1967 was auctioned off for £280,000 ($595,000) to a collector in the US. The successful bidder Daniel Boucher said 'I thought I'd have to pay a little bit more for it, actually. I am going to play it, I hope some of it rubs off on me.' I hope some of Boucher's money rubs off onto me.

The Stratocaster was the main attraction at the auction, which included music memorabilia like The Beatles' first contract and a gun permit application made out by Elvis Presley.

As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old scarpe hogan, which they supposed to belong to a poor man who was employed in a collezione hogan close by, and who had nearly finished his day’s work.
