Blackstar welcomes the new LT pedals, featuring five compact and affordable effects derived from their HT series.
The new pedals are the LT Boost, LT Drive, LT Dist, LT Metal and LT Dual – all tonally based on the valve-driven HT pedals.
The new LT series of pedals all feature unique solid state clipping circuits that Blackstar designed to mimic the response of tubes. They are said to deliver more organic drive and compression that will satisfy analog and tube tone seekers.
Each pedal comes in a compact and rugged metal chassis, which makes them road worthy and easy to integrate into your existing pedalboard. You can power them using a 9V PP3 battery or via an optional power adaptor.
LT Boost
The LT Boost pedal provides variable boost for increasing your volume, driving tube amplifiers, or for adding subtle equalization. The gain knob controls the boost, while the bass and treble knobs give you tone shaping options. Retail: $79.99
LT Drive
This overdrive pedal mimics the sound and behavior of Blackstar’s HT-Drive tube pedal, which gives out a robust low to mid gain tone. Controls are straightforward, having a gain knob for controlling the drive, a level knob for adjusting the volume and a tone knob. Retail: $79.99
LT Dist
The LT Dist distortion pedal comes with Blackstar’s patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) technology. The ISF knob lets you adjust the characteristics of the distorted tone, taking you anywhere from US style gain to UK crunch. Together with the gain, tone and level knobs, you can fine tune your tone to your preferred setting, or craft as many variations as you prefer. Retail: $99.99
LT Metal
This is a high-gain friendly pedal with the same ISF feature as the LT Dist. Only this time, the ISF knob will give you access to the upper echelons of drive – from US scooped high-gain sounds to classic British heavy metal and everything in between. The same three knobs are also present for fine tuning your high-gain tone. Retail: $99.99
LT Dual
The LT Dual is a bit bigger than the other pedals and for good reason, it houses two distinct channels of overdrive and distortion. Engaging channel 1 will let you boost, add subtle warmth to your sound or apply saturated overdrive. Channel 2 takes care where the previous channel left off, providing super crunch gain up to solo-friendly distortion. The pedal also features Blackstar’s ISF, which together with the gain, tone and level knobs give you deep control over your guitar sound. Retail: $149.99
