Unlike other small loopers, this one will let you divide the 360 seconds looping time into 11 blocks, allowing you to build musical parts that can be individually stored and recalled.

For something with complicated features, this unassuming stompbox style looper feature a straightforward set of controls that include two knobs allow for level adjustments and loop selection, three LEDs for visual monitoring and a footswitch. The footswitch itself will let you record, overdub, undo-redo and erase a loop!

The level knob is the most basic control, it lets you adjust the output level of the loop signal while the dry signal remains at unity from input to output.

The Loop knob is a rotary switch that lets you select between 11 different loop locations. Since all recorded audio are stored automatically to the NanoLooper 360’s internal memory, this means that your recorded loops will remain even when you power down the unit. This nifty feature will let you organize your loops into blocks that you can easily recall for later use.

Once you select the loop location, you can then start recording a loop by pressing the footswitch once. The REC LED will show a solid light indicating that you are recording. Pressing the footswitch while recording will end the recording and play the loop indefinitely. Pressing the footswitch two times will stop the playback.

The footswitch also lets you do Overdubbing. Just press the footswitch once while a loop is playing and it will let you record on top of the loop without changing its length. After finishing an overdub, the Undo-Redo function is automatically enabled. To undo an overdub during playback, simply press and hold the footswitch for one second. To redo the overdub during playback, i.e. restore the last take, press and hold the footswitch for one second again. To erase a loop, playback must be stopped and the footswitch depressed for two seconds.

Electro-Harmonix says that the NanoLooper 360 delivers high quality uncompressed audio, with 24-bit A/D/A and 44.1kHz sample rate. Since it utilizes digital memory, it allows for unlimited overdubbing with no degradation in fidelity. They conclude by saying, “With the NanoLooper 360, EHX’s goal was to build an affordable looping pedal that would function as an easy to use, song creation and performance tool“.

The new NanoLooper 360 works with a 9-volt alkaline battery or with the bundled standard EHX 9.6-Volt/DC200mA AC adapter . It is currently retailing for $179.99. Visit EHX for more information.
